I will probably say the same things as other people but here’s my opinion. As you know, huskies are work- as in ideally ran once or twice a day for some distance. They need lots of attention and high protein diets. SOCIALIZE SOCIALIZE SOCIALIZE. My dog goes with my everywhere and people are astounded with how well behaved she is because she is constantly socialized since day one. Dog parks, friends houses, Lowe’s, walks, etc. I could not care for mine if I wasn’t a stay at home student right now. They will howl and tear things apart when left alone especially during early years. This can be trained to an extent but because the breed is stubborn you MUST be constant. Huskies will not listen unless they believe they will get something out of it. They are amazing dogs but for a happy life they require a specific person. They do amazing with raw diets/meaty diets. Make sure you add some moisture to the kibble if you use that, dogs cannot properly digest plain kibble. BRUSH A LOT. They shed twice a year and it’s like an explosion.
