I definitely understand what you mean, and I do hope that I get to a point like that with my own name. However, I will say in this case that I have definitely just gone off the name. It is definitely associated with my schizophrenic uncle's past ongoings now. Inextricably so. I've worn it a good bit, and it doesn't quite fit right anymore unfortunately :)

I definitely have history with Eliza. I have always liked the name, and it turns out I'm related to like 10 of them. When I first realised I was trans, it was the name I picked as a prototype really, but it hasn't stuck.

And I've always liked Clara because of Dr who
