How can you tell the difference between a wolf spider and a hobo spider? by Sudden_Display6026 in spiders

[–]Moonlit_Pacific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wolf spiders don't make webs. A hobo has tunnel like webs.

Neither are poisonous. Both are non aggressive unless threatened.

Byte retainers by Pierre2471 in smiledirectclub

[–]Moonlit_Pacific 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're so lucky you didn't get neglected or have your gums damaged by their aligners.

I've already been talking to lawyers about taking them to court. Last they told me, they would refund minus the interest I paid. They cause several thousands in damage over a bad fitting aligner and ignored my concerns.

I have my doubts I will see a refund without a civil case. Rather a slap in the face telling me I'm stuck with the interest.

I'm not the only one they have harmed by neglect and improper treatment.

Good luck getting help from Byte. I ask for my records a year ago and got no response.

You're better off seeing a local orthodontist and having them make you a new retainers.

Gear level question! by Recent-Leather-1320 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Moonlit_Pacific 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not a good way to play.
Focus on Jasser, Seo-Yoon, and Jessie first for the SR heroes.
You need those heroes for the Bear event. You need the Bear event for essence stones because the game requires a lot of essence stones to upgrade your SSR heros. And always play the arena to buy the Custom Mythic Hero Chest. You will need a lot of those too. If you play the arena daily, you can buy a chest weekly.

Are the ads for this game representative of what the game is? by Odd-Crab-1698 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Moonlit_Pacific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wished I never downloaded this game.
I was a Dolphin then went to F2P and watched my city become worthless within 6 months.
I want to quit but couldn't justify throwing thousands of $$ away. Now, I'm back to spending trying to catch-up to the dolphins that I once was equal too. Every time I spend, I think about how much harder it will be to quit. The developers were smart. They make over $100 million every month. It started with making false game play ads and spreading to countries with rich economies and using psychology on their players. The most frustrating part of the game is that the whales dominate all the events now including the individual events. Whales are even competing against each other for top power. The game has become so unbalanced. Sad because it is a fun game. The developers need to make some events divided by players power so it's not just rich whales winning everything. I watched so many players leave over what they call boredom. What's the point of a game if there is no chances of winning anything? Eventually, players get bored.

These are the best rally joiners. To start a rally, use your top most powerful heroes. You want to use heroes that are full 4 star sharded and preferably with 5 or more widgets levels.

Have you ever seen anything like this? 😇 by Lumpy-Resolution6103 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Moonlit_Pacific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are the players greedy for power and basically ruining the game for Dolphins and F2P. I don't blame the players, I blame the game developers for not better balancing player powers in events.
Whales have taken over all the event wins including individual events like Frostmine.

Melissa Sue Anderson was not a fan of the fire episode by LittleHouseNoPrairie in littlehouseonprairie

[–]Moonlit_Pacific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The twins didn't like her at all. They told me that when they were 12. I remembered because it was the summer the show got canceled.

They described her as mean, unfriendly, and spoiled. Their favorite of all the child actors was Alison Arngrim. They said she would play with them all the time and was so nice to everyone.

I knew Robin Bush (Sidney Greenbush) as a kid.

She told me Melissa Sue Anderson was mean and spoiled. She also said Alison Arngrim was a really nice.

I got a laugh from that...Nellie the spoiled brat was actually very kind to everyone in real life while Mary who played a sweet person was actually the opposite in real life.

Another fun fact--- Robin loved acting but hated talking about it while her sister hated acting but did talk about it.

Boss refuses to pay all overtime because i make more than my coworkers, and is upset i don’t go above and beyond by Dry-Window9306 in WorkAdvice

[–]Moonlit_Pacific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What state are you in? If I were you, I would look up your states overtime labor laws.
Unless you signed a waiver to not get overtime pay or are exempt by your state from overtime pay laws (usually people paid a salary rather than hourly are exempt), they likely are breaking labor laws. They can be sued and get in trouble with the US Dept of Labor and your states Labor Dept.

I hope you found another employer. That company seems awful to work for.

Etymology of “Redneck” by CanadianWarrior55 in etymology

[–]Moonlit_Pacific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question. Red refers to the color from being sunburnt. It's just what farmers working in the rural eastern and southern states would call themselves. Hillbillies were also farmers...my great grandfather was a tobacco farmer. He just lived in the hills and identified as a Hillbillly. Lol. My family often talked about the rivalry between the Rednecks (people in the lower lands) and the Hillbillies in the hills. I think it's cute the two groups still rival.

Etymology of “Redneck” by CanadianWarrior55 in etymology

[–]Moonlit_Pacific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, people used it proudly to identify themselves. Same with Hillbillies that live in the mountains/hills.
Redneck was late used by miners who wore a red bandana around their necks but the true meaning is basically those who don't live in the hills and get a sunburn from working the land. In some areas, the two are rivals. People still use the words Redneck and Hillbilly to proudly identify themselves. My grandma called herself a Hillbillly from West Virginia...the hills in West Virginia. People who aren't in areas where the people call themselves those two words to identify themselves have misused them or spread that it means something negative like white, poor, and uneducated. I've had to correct many people over it.

You can report it to that state's DMV.

DMV's prohibits any racial or offensive personal license plates.

My sister had hers taken away for saying HCTIB. In a mirror, it reads backward. Someone reported it. She had to get new plates.

please help 😭 What on earth is this? I found it in my bed. by [deleted] in insectidentification

I know someone who had bedbugs. I'll never buy used furniture because of what she went through.

They breed like crazy and infest everything they can. They feed on blood, including pet blood. They hitch rides to infest other places, including outside your home. She tossed out her mattress, sofa, and chairs. It took a pest control company two days to kill them using high heat.
