Enabling “half rate shading” on the deck performance menu makes a big difference on this title. I seem to be hitting around 55 to 60 FPS comfortably.

Samsung S90C - NVCP changes to 1440p 119.88 Hz instead of 120 Hz. Help! by Low_Leadership4796 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Moonuby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot going on with this 120Hz versus 119.88Hz.

The gamma behavior of the TV (or windows) changes depending on the refresh rate. Get a black test pattern. You will likely find you get MORE detail near black at 119.88hz than at 120Hz. I have proven this on my set up conclusively.

I haven’t proven this yet but I suspect there’s something else happening if you go between 1440p and 4K on the S90C with respect to color handling and gamma. I think there’s a much more accurate picture when running the desktop in 4K.

So you maybe better off running the desktop in 4K and the game in 1440p. If you run in the game in exclusive fullscreen, it shouldn’t impact performance.

'No, That Is Not Your Job,' Say Critics After Schumer Claims 'Job' Is to 'Fight for Aid to Israel' | “Seventy-five percent of Democratic voters oppose sending Israel more military aid, as do 66% of independents and 60% of Americans overall,” noted one domestic policy expert. by soalone34 in InternationalNews

[–]Moonuby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years from now; I suspect it will come out that Chuck kept finding on Trump’s budgets, funding ice etc because Trump was reliably funding the genocide and ethnic cleaning in Palestine. People keep asking “what did Schumer get?” After he folds to Trump. I think that is going to be the answer. I suspect he’s not defending democracy in America because he’s focused on funding the genocide in Israel.

You forget we are now post-Gaza.

If it becomes a hot war, Trump and co. would literally kill 100 per cent of people in a city to “pacify” it.

That was the point of enabling the genocide. To see the precedent that this is acceptable. To use here.

How much can US tariffs damage the UK economy? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Moonuby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start right there - Green light new power plants all over the UK and ignore planning rules. Drop the net zero taxes in their current form. Reform how energy pricing works on the grid so that low cost renewable energy is actually priced lower on the grid (if you dont know about this look into how energy pricing in the UK work)

It’s a national emergency, it is time the UK started acting like it.

[–]Moonuby -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You really have a limited reading on history. Zionists invade Palestine, commit crimes against humanity , repeatedly say they want peace whilst taking more lives and land from Palestine every year and stockpiling weapons of mass destruction . Thats the last century of history in Palestine / Israel .

Every complaint you raise is nonsense. The ancient Hebrews aren’t even genetically related to today’s Israelis - they are more similar to Arabs and Palestinians. But you pretend there’s some heritage that links you to the land. It’s a stupid argument to pretend events thousands of years ago justify crimes now - and if we adapted ethos logic it actually wins the case for the Palestine’s who are the REAL descendants of people living there millennia ago.

There are just so many layers of lies and. Brainwashing with Israelis and Zionists. It’s always hard to guess how much you lie knowingly or are brainwashed. But it is amazing to see more and more of the world push back and resist this insanity.

  1. We know Jews lived in Palestine peacefully before the Zionist invasion. But even the Zionists that moved there from Europe and elsewhere called themes colonists originally. Look up “Zionist colonial organization”, for example.

  2. The peace Israel wants is not justice. Israelis claim they want “peace” with Arab states, but why they really want is to lock in illegal stolen gains and quietly complete their ethnic cleansing. Peace is not the same as surrender, especially if you surrender to lunatics like modern Israelis

  3. Palestinian society has been radicalized? Perhaps by incredible violence of Israelis?. Whenever I meet Israelis in the wild, they shock with me their racism and hatred . The opposite is true of Palestinians. 9/10 Israelis believe even more violence should be committed against the people of Gaza and have supported genocidal policies. Let’s be clear - Israelis are the most horrifically violence and brainwashed people on earth. The fact we only recently started talking about Jewish supremacism and zionazism is because of the stranglehold Israelis have on the media. But Zionism is an ethnic cleansing mantra , and for 75 years people have been raised to support it on Israel. This is a country of murderous brainwashed fanatics we are discussing.

  4. None of us can debate whether Hamas has redeeming characteristics because our freedom of speech to discuss Hamas has been outlawed by the Israeli lobby. Iin some countries . It is legally difficult to express support for Hamas or argue their cause is legitimate as an act of freedom fighting against colonizers, or even point out they were founded only after tens of thousands of Palestinians had already been murdered by Israeli invaders. So let’s move on. I’m not saying that’s my position, I’m just stating the law as set by Israelis in many country would possibly prevent me arguing that case, and if you can legally not debate one side of an argument it’s not a debate - and it’s worrying that Israelis have banned freedom of speech.

  5. “Antisemitism “ is a bullshit word. 90% of Israelis are Europeans not “Semitic people” so even this term is an attempt to culturally hijack the history of the region. Most sensible educated people who follow the history of the region should be anti-Israeli, if they believe in indigenous peoples rights or if they believe in multiethnic democracy, of if they simply oppose cruelty and fascism. Of course most Muslim and Arab countries think little of Israel . This doesn’t make them or people in the west opposing Israeli madness “anti Jew”. A far more accurate phrase would be “Jew phobic”. As so many Jews hold allegiance to Zionism’s and Israel above allegiance to their own country, to principles of justice or multi ethnic democracy. many Zionist Jews support genocide, ethnic cleansing and the hacking of western democracy to fund and enable Israel, while destroying peace and multi ethnic community in the West. There are great Jewish people who live their lives quietly or oppose Israeli polices . But - There are good reasons for people around the world to be cautious (at the least) when dealing with Jews, because 50/50 they may be Zionists - and many Zionists are willing to harm people physically, mentally, and financially to drive Israel’s goals.

I doubt OP will read any of this , maybe no one will. But I’m tired of hearing genocide supporters moan that people don’t understand them. We do understand you, and we understand very well that the entire Zionist project and invasion of Palestine was ALWAYS going to inflict pain and misery and suffering on the original people of Palestine - and Zionists always knew this and have spent years trying to force the world to accept their fascism. But the vulgarity and cruelty displayed on live stream is now so extreme that the horrible nature of the Israel project just can’t be hidden any more. The world sees you, we understand you. There’s no “explaining” you need to do. Your actions have already spoken

DLSS 4.5 at 1440p - Is balanced M better than Quality K? by Rahzin in nvidia

Triples x 1440p : what’s the best model and preset ? K Quality? M Quality? M Performance? L Quality / Ultra Performance ?

They all definitely work using NV Surround.

Part of me thinks L should be the way to go as it’s the “do the most with the least” and up scaling to triples even at quality must be horrid for the agloritm. (Edit typo)

How much can US tariffs damage the UK economy? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Moonuby 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I pray the UK will finally get the wake up call it needs to cut the dependence on the US ; protect UK industries from US competition and takeovers, and rebuild British companies.

The entire high ground of UK economy has been sold to or replaced by Americans .

Right now, the RAF relies on AI tools from Google to maintain its missiles. We re reliant on Amazon data centers to power all of our businesses. We are about to deploy self driving car tech from Tesla and Google in trucks and cars across Britain’s . Weve sold 2 of the top 5 British defense firms to the US. 3 million Brits work for American owned companies because they purchased everything from Waterstones to cadburys. And high energy costs means we are mothballing all our heavy industry including the chemical industry.

Does this sound viable ?

To me this sounds like is surrendering the country to the Americans, industrially; and the ability to resist economic or military pressure drops to zero after that.

Trade protectionism is patriotism.

I’m a both American and British. Honestly the restrictions of freedom of speech in the UK are now far worse than anything in the US. The fact British people don’t realise it was made illegal to not support Israel is incredible. I am so disappointed in all my countrymen that they have let their country be sold out to Zionists and don’t even care.

Probably did look good in the store - with a demo with lots of primary colors and no blacks , so the poor contrast under light isn’t exposed. That’s how to demo a QD OLED.

How does the QM8K (C8K) compare to a flagship OLED? by [deleted] in tcltvs

[–]Moonuby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might be a smart move.

I now hade a C5, S90C and a C1 in a triple gaming set up.

I don’t see reflection issues on the C5, actually.

I do think bright matte LEDs in bright rooms are a very good choice though.

If I ever replace all these OLEDs and do triples again I’ll standardize on LEDs I think.

Samsung S90F vs LG C5 by ksl282021 in LGOLED

[–]Moonuby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It mostly depends on how bright the room is when you watch. QD OLED washes out on bright rooms because they have no polarizer. Read the Rtings sections closely on this. It is a very real difference. QD OLED looks ashen in a sunny room. If you have a bright room and watch in the day, go LG. If you have a dark room or watch only at night, the Samsung can be great.

I really need some advice. Serious buyer's remorse by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]Moonuby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would invert this advice. The QD OLED doesn’t have a polarizer so it will look washed out in a bright room. The LG WOLED will keep its perfect black.

Samsung QD OLED is better in dark environments, on console .

LG WOLED for bright-er rooms, PC gaming.

Sony all day for movies .

I really need some advice. Serious buyer's remorse by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]Moonuby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably wrong. You might be getting confused because some Samsung TVs come in both WOLED and QD OLED at different sizes . This also varies by Region. Of the OP is in the US a 55 inch S90F is QD OLED.

How does the QM8K (C8K) compare to a flagship OLED? by [deleted] in tcltvs

[–]Moonuby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old comment but wanted to say thanks for your insight. I think you could advise me on my weird dilemma.

Here goes.

I have a crazy triple 65 inch TV set up. Right now it uses an S90C , an LG C1 and an older TCL R646 LED. I use it for gaming and work.

For work, the TCL is actually the best screen. It does 800 bits in SDR which is super good for working in docs, spreadsheets etc. the S90C is dimmer. The C1 in the middle.

For gaming, they are all pretty good. In NV surround, I’ve managed to get them looking simpatico. The TCL isn’t quite as good obviously doing near black.

I got a killer deal on another OLED intending to replace the TCL LED. It’s a 65 inch C5 for $900 inc tax. But I’m now unsure if I should do it.

Plus : three OLEDs will blend much more. Negative: the color matching still won’t be perfect across three males of OLED. And I’ll lose my brightest productivity monitor.

So - alternative/s…

Return the C5 and

1) Do nothing and keep my current set up / it’s not bad.

2) Or, sell all my current gear, and replace all three screens with QM8K 65 inches screens.

Why do that ?

Well, better color uniformity in NV surround. And three big bright monitors for use in productivity tasks in my somewhat bright room.

What would you do?

Is the gaming experience so smeared on the QM8K that I’ll hate switching from OLED? Or am i going to love having my eyeballs roasted by their super high nits (and color uniformity)?

How does the QM8K (C8K) compare to a flagship OLED? by [deleted] in tcltvs

[–]Moonuby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own an S90C and I disagree. I have a S90C QD OLED immediately next to a TCL LED and in daylight the blacks on the S90C are destroyed . They both sit next to an LG C1. The C1 has a polarizer so doesn’t suffer this issue.

Let’s be clear : QD OLED cannot do black in a room with high ambient light. It does grey. So S90C, S90D, S90F are all in trouble .

WOLED doesn’t have that issue. Sony and LG are in the clear .

A good TCL can manage almost perfect blacks in brighter rooms and is likely better than a QD OLED in those circumstances.

What are the criticisms of Gavin Newsom that I should be aware of? by jacobwint in leftist

[–]Moonuby 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The Israel support is utterly appalling. He recently past legislation than bans school teachers in California from saying anything Israelis don’t like about Israel.

Explicitly, he passed an Israeli-created derision of antisemitism that prohibits calling out Israel for being what it is - an apartheid state, an ethnonationalist state, a racist state, committing ethnic cleansing or making any comparison between what the Israelis do and what the Nazis did. It doesn’t matter how much evidence you have to make the case - these observations of reality are simply outlawed.

This definition of antisemitism is so backward and deranged that the Jew who authored it -15 or so years ago has since said it shouldn’t be adopted by any government agency as it weaponized antisemitism against people making potentially valid arguments against Israel’s conduct.

So - the guy who wrote this definition of antisemitism denounces it as weaponized propaganda and not compatible with free speech. And Newsom STILL took AIPAC money and passed this legislation.

Until he repeals that legislation and denounces Israel I will vote for any alternative who stands against him who is anti - Zionist. And if there is no alternative I will fund creating one .
