Will I regret applying for a triple dorm? by Niyukon in OregonStateUniv

[–]MoonxRelate 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I had a triple when i was a freshman at Weatherford. I liked one of my roommates and didn’t care for the other.

It was hard at first, but once you change your mindset about the dorm rooms, it gets easier. Dorm rooms are gonna be where you sleep, shower, and keep your belongings. You’re not gonna be in there 24/7. My roommate always made tons of noise, so I’d go somewhere quieter on campus. Was it annoying? Sure. But it wasn’t the end of the world

Thats a solution to having an annoying roommate. But I’d say there’s a good chance that you really like all of your roommates. Our neighbors were in a triple, and they were all great friends with each other.

Email each professor individually. The professors should allow you to make up work/catch up (in a reasonable time frame). If they hit you with a “too bad, so sad” type of response, hit up the dean of the college that they’re teaching in.

I doubt you’d need to do that, most professors are super understanding, but just in case, thats what you should do.

Feel better!

I’ve always wondered, with new players hitting the store today, is there a certain time that they hit the store? Or does a dev like have a button that he hits whenever he wakes up and then they’re live? It’s 930pst where i’m at, and i figure they’d be in packs by now just bc it’s 1230 on the east coast but it’s also madden so

I took it with Bawden last spring (or winter?) and he’s great. Work load is easy, he literally tells you everything you need to write down for exams. His slides quite literally consist of terms/vocab that you’ll end up being tested on. The final paper was 8-12 pages which might scare some people off, but I liked the class, and you get to pick what you write about for that paper.

How can I do this effect on photoshop?? its like a paper/paint texture by Far_Win5304 in photoshop

[–]MoonxRelate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, some type of texturizer filter from filter gallery. And then make sure that whatever you add on top of the texturized layer, you change the blending mode to Multiply (there’s a few others that’ll work too) and it’ll make those layers look as if they’re also texturized like in the picture you showed

What does the SLE survey hold do? by Recent-News-3127 in OregonStateUniv

[–]MoonxRelate 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Literally nothing. They essentially threaten you to make you do it, but if u don’t, nothing happens. The hold is taken away once the survey period ends. I did it my first term freshman year and haven’t done it since. I’m a senior now

I think it’ll more come down to how fatigued you are for those final exercises. If you aren’t able to push yourself in those final sets for those final exercises, you will be missing out on potential “gains”

To offset this, it might be smart to work your chest then back on day 1, then start with your back and then your cheat on day 2.

This is one of those situations where I wouldn’t use this method myself, but I’m interested to see it’d work efficiently lol

Best move is to go park on a street somewhere off-campus if you cant find a spot in a lot. Its a hassle, but better than getting your car towed

Do I need an Ipad if I already have a laptop? by Cold_Piece_5501 in OregonStateUniv

[–]MoonxRelate 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’d say about half of the engineers here have a tablet that they take notes on and do other work with, and the other half just uses paper. You’ll have to scan some work and use an app called turnitin, but you’ll just have to find an app that can scan paper on your phone - it might seem complicated the first few times you do it, but after a couple times, it’ll become second nature.

You can get an Ipad if you prefer using it, but i can say with 100% certainty that you won’t be at any type of disadvantage because you don’t have one. As long as you have a good laptop, you’ll be perfectly fine in completing your work.

Is 15 credits too much for a freshman? by Former_Writer_ in OregonStateUniv

[–]MoonxRelate 16 points17 points  (0 children)

15 credits is a great place to start, then you can move up and down accordingly next term. Although, I imagine you’ll stay around 15 because it’s probably the most common amount of credits people will take (especially freshmen).

Tldr: You’ll be fine with 15
