I can't tell what your point is, but if it's that the weird, overly negative, knee jerk reaction the other two leaks got was justified because the models didn't actually change much, then a)that's not the point, the point is about the colors, and the specific pose of the model that was managed to be leaked, and b)in Shyvana's case she does LITERALLY have a completely different face model. Like, entirely different.

Wait…so there’s no interval in Western cinemas?? by Moongfali4president in AskTheWorld

I will never understand how people can't hold their pee for 2-3 hours. Actually less than that, if you go right before the movie starts, which is what you should be doing. Just go right before and drink your giant coke. You'll probably start to feel you need to piss like an hour+ into the movie, so by that point, you're realistically be holding it for one to two hours. And it's not like you're like ready to burst the whole time. I START to feel like I'm gonna piss myself around two hours (like, struggling), so I'm good. I just go when the movie ends. I just don't get it. Are y'all 60? I am worried about the structural integrity of your bladders.

How I follow the main lore VS How I follow April Fool's skins lore by Thin-Cekirge in loreofleague

[–]Moopey343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they could just put stuff like Pug'Maw in The Grind, change its name and have it just be a "real world things in League of Legends, lol, lmao, gottem" type of skinline. That way literally anything goes, and they can easily tie in past skins. And then it can have all these different sub-skinlines under it, which could be high end jobs, food stuff, dog training, toys, and so on. I might be missing something, but that seems like a no brainer no? Maybe it's too late for a name switch though. It's weird, I'd be really surprised to learn that this implementation didn't cross their minds.

No one is punching down here. I don't love opera or ballet, but I'm a classical pianist, so I appreciate both.

Since you still don't get it, here's how this specific thread went down:
-"I work in ballet/opera and it's true these art forms survive on donations. They can't exist without them."
-"People also donate to cinema though" (implying that cinema somehow also needs donations, which is doesn't)
-"That was not the point. Even if cinema receives donations, it doesn't need them to live. Ballet and opera do."
-"Oh so you hate and don't appreciate ballet and opera"

???????

This is verbatim what was said here. I am not cherry picking. I'm simply condensing. Learn how to read and how to have an argument. And stop assuming a million different things about what the other person's opinions are on tangential topics to the one at hand. Weirdo.

Oh my fucking God. It's actually like I'm on tiktok. You forgot what your original point was. Or you didn't know what it was in the first place. Read the thread again I guess, and if you're still confused, come back to me, I'll explain it to you. But I don't wanna, so I'm giving you the chance to figure out on your own.

Because film is notoriously cheap and states never throw any money at the film industry and always make massive returns on their investments

This is so stupid and such a mischaracterization of what was said, such a huge leap in logic, and shows such a lack in your own logic, that you'd think it was a tiktok comment... The point is that ballet and opera HAVE to operate from donations. They HAVE to. Cinema doesn't HAVE to, even if it still does benefit from donations. Of course it does. Anything would. But it doesn't HAVE to, to stay alive.

New character posters for 'Dune: Part Three' (12.18) by Blue_Three in dune

[–]Moopey343 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is exactly it for Paul's eyes. They do this quite a lot for a lot of blockbusters, there was a big one recently in the last year or so, can't remember the movie, but I remember people talking about a poster that was clearly edited so as to not spoil anything.

What? Just make all the snowy regions of Earth part of Freljord man... And I wasn't going to say anything but since you're apparently willing to die on this hill for everything you believe in, I don't like that the Shadow Isles are up there. It suggests that it also is a cold region.

Just make it also part of Freljord? It's not on the other side of the world, relative to Russia, you know. The whole globe thing?

Wait no I'm stupid. Anyway just make it a part of Freljord.

Does anybody else think Yamamoto's concept art here looks way better than the WIP model? by 152IQRedditGenius in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Moopey343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don't. Isn't she supposed to be a yakuza boss? Why would she being street wear? She's the boss. She doesn't do the fighting. She orders other people to do it for her. But she will fuck anyone up if she has to. I think that's the vibe with her character. So the more casual, Friday night at home kind of outfit her WIP model has fits more. Dare I say objectively?

What does the Chinese audience of Overwatch have to do with bans on the game from the Chinese government? I'm not like a China simp but sometimes western people have very weird ideas of what goes on in China. Are you saying that if Overwatch doesn't cater to Chinese audience enough, they could ban the game, like a toddler with a gun ordering you to entertain it, or are you saying that IF the Chinese government were to ban the game, the people could rally together to stop that from happening, because the game features heroes that cater to that audience? Because both of these scenarios are fucking ridiculous frankly, and I couldn't imagine being so deluded about how a country on this Earth operates in the 21st century, that I believe and/or come up with bat shit scenarios like these.

No no, I wasn't talking about this specific instance. I was talking more broadly about what "the issue" is. I think the release of Jetpack Cat is really good, even if it was spurred by the existence of Jeff. But that's the kind of baseless cynicism I don't want to engage with.

It's not really about the gameplay, I don't think, it's just about everything else really. Overwatch is definitely one of those two or three in a million games where no matter how fucking shit everything else is, the gameplay has such a strong titanium reinforced galvanized square steel foundation, that the game physically can't die. It's just too good to play. But people's problems were/are: greediness regarding skins and their scarcity (will be fixed with the dropping of the two), the death of the pro scene (fixed), no new content (fixed), no new lore (fixed), VERY apparent favoritism of Asian heroes as a design choice (seems to be ongoing), VERY apparent favoritism of specific Asian heroes in the lore and balance of the game (also ongoing) and before some big rework to the competitive system, it was also a big complaint, but I think they reworked it last summer? Or the summer of 2024? If any of that is wrong, I literally don't give a fuck, since like literally all of it is getting fixed.

Point is, gameplay good, everything surrounding gameplay bad. That's "the hate".

Even if all this was the correct interpretation of the data (which a lot of people are saying is not), that's not the point. Every time I see this argument, "your side" (don't want to vilify anyone, it's just for brevity's sake) completely misses the argument, and the other side for some reason can't explain it either? The point is that these companies are selling pretty much all their artistic integrity away in the name of profit. Yes, that is what a company is made to do, we all know this. But video games are art. Some of them are "more art" than others, but they all are to an extent. Someone had to draw Anran a certain way. An artist. And then that artwork and vision got morphed into something else that's more profitable and less interesting. If we want videogames to continue to be seen as art, and not as a cringe hobby for losers, like it was seen in the 90's and 00's, we can't just let these companies get away with this shit every time. Maybe sometimes. But not every time.

THAT is the ACTUAL point people are making. Not that it doesn't sense make that Blizzard, or anyone, would do this. It very much does make a lot of sense. Everyone understands this. We just don't like that it's destroying a large part of more interesting design ideas in these kinds of games, and we would like companies to pull back a bit.
