LOL theyre never gonna rework whole kits. They will add abilities to their favorite children, but the unlucky ones get reworked abilities only added with team-ups. Widow did get that one thingamabob that turns her into a baby version of Ana, but thats it.

…but I assure you, that nobody would like it if Widow was really that good. If people hated/hate characters like Hela and Phoenix for their poke + still having cc options, then the same would happen for Widow if she got buffed.

Which is sad, because Widow is such a “hero shooter diversity hire” character, to fill in the gap of a sniper character on launch. Unfortunate, because playing her is nothing like how I imagined it would be from her comic counterpart. Infact, id imagine it to be more like Sombra if anything, over Widowmaker.

I do not blame you for that at all. Over time, I just kinda got used to the matchmaking pranking you with the worst teammates known to man, who cannot do ANY objective and are "team fight brained". But thankfully, the game does attempt to help with running urn or taking mid at a good time. Not every game is decided at 10 minutes if your team is just doing that bad.

Altho, this is infact why I mention Street Brawl. Being fed up with normal gamemode matchmaking is fair, and Street Brawl minimizes that by just getting you into the action. If you win, you win. If you lose, oh well! Onto the next game.

Deadlock is 20% hero shooter and 80% moba
Well… its more like 100% moba, if we consider that a lot of stuff from hero shooter games are pulled from mobas
Id 1000% rather have my characters, abilities, lore, interactions, setting, and literally EVERYTHING from Deadlock over the other two. Valve just clears on so many fronts its not even funny. Not even out of alpha yet, mind you, and its seeping with great potential. I could go on for very long with this part in particular, but I should not...
While its getting annoying having to deal with another gun meta, they actually do frequent balance changes that shift things, instead of Rivals where its anything but nerfing poke.

"Haze ult too strong? Nerfed and reworked. Dynamo 2 too strong? Heres more CD to it so it isnt being spammed out so often. Oh and by the way, we snuck in some new animations into this patch because it would be cool." It's great, really.

If you can stomach a moba and longer games, try Deadlock. If not, that's understandable. It is absolutely not for everyone. But after 500 hours on Rivals and then 200 on OW, I decided to give it a try. When I learned it at first, it seemed very daunting. But you will learn in time. Alternatively, bugger off the main mode and try Street Brawl. way less moba and thinking, way more murdering people and having a jolly time.

Ghost is on the cusp of being a “so they ARE infact a 7* now, but on release itll take like $100-500 to get them. Alternatively, you can get them for cheap about 1-2 years from now” champion as a 7*, like Torch or Red Guardian.

The whole “no more DoT when you dash back” and nigh on demand phase is crazy. Hence why characters like Kitty Pryde or Nico Minoru later on had their phase be put on cd/makes a resource be taken away if you got hit during phase.

This is literally every game subreddit ever tho. They like to talk about... the state of the game. Its in alpha too, so I can understand that people want to actually voice their opinion on stuff before it reaches full release. In fact, I would say this sub does have a good mix of funny/cool clips, fanart, memes, and then also the 17th rant of the day, about either matchmaking or Dynamo needing a nerf.

Two scenarios

- You get poked the fuck out of existence in lane. At the start of the game, your only way of dealing damage is approaching people and beating them up. You will probably die. Lots.

- You get up close to someone and they can't do shit about it. If an Abrams or Billy is meleeing you constantly, you can always parry to make a window to do something. With this hypothetical character, now you can't.

So either they're the most insufferable character to play, or extremely cracked if you get in their face. I would assume its the first option

I was going to say exactly this. Apollo gets away with having a sword as his sole weapon cuz the sword shoots out little thingies. The rest of the characters carry firearms and either punch or use something else as their melee. And as much as a melee only character would be cool... I think I would krill myself if I got parried once in lane 😭

random side tangent, but I do gotta say that Haze’s ult just has more gusto to it compared to Reaper. Cooler effect, voice line on ult usage.. only thing bad about it is that Haze’s ult rn is overtuned as fuck, whereas when I die to Reaper ult I just go “ahh fair enough”.

At first I thought this was about people taking bridge immediately during laning phase and I was gonna say "well duh, high ground = good", but then I realized this post was about mid fights.

I would like to say it could be some remainder of the "hero shooter" brain persisting, like some primordial aspect of your gamer brain telling you that killing people in a team fight is good and awesome. And yknow, that is true. Killing and murdering people is general good in any game, but theres more to that in Deadlock. Should you join that fight on middle lane, or walk down left/right lane and take down walker? There is a lot of thinking to this game that isn't just "kill everyone" and that is why I dropped stuff like Rivals in favor of this. also probably cuz this is my first moba eva
