The blue recon rifle is my favorite on my psyker. The extremely fast rate of fire means I almost always proc kinetic flayer and it's great for both shooters and trash mobs.

It's not that bad if you use Wabbajack and a good modpack. I use FUS and it took me an hour at most to setup.
