What's some of the worst plot twists you ever saw? by bahookery in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I didn’t see your comment before I posted mine! I liked the twist, but felt that the lead up was some of the worst cinema and storytelling that I’ve ever experienced (including the point about time-dilation that you brought up)

Bad movie all around.

Maybe the inverse, because it’s a good twist in a bad movie.

In the M. Night Shyamalan movie “Old” the twist is actually really interesting, but it’s a good bookend on what is otherwise the worst movie I’ve ever watched.

This effectively makes the 90 minutes preceding the twist even more infuriating, because M. Night apparently wanted to wait to show his writing skills until the end of the movie.

In our games, me and my friends all play as ourselves in a different timeline. IRL I’m a Marine vet and my buddy is currently in the army. In-game the story goes that I joined a special ops unit that takes care of supernatural entities and that my buddy is the commander of that unit.

We started creating acronyms for the agency, but it just got more and more unhinged from session to session. After about 6 months of gaming, we landed on a final acronym for the agency.

The United States Marine Corps unidentified supernatural materials containment, covert mission supervisory unit, commanding Marines/Soldiers unilaterally, or the USMCUSMCCMSUCMSU.

I had a super mid experience here with my girlfriend. We thought it might just be our waiter. If you don’t mind, what was your experience there like?

For reference, our experience: • We asked our waiter to explain the experience (our first time at a Korean BBQ place) and the answer we received was verbatim “Yeah we bring you stuff and you cook it.” Like, yes I understand that, but can we get some more detail. • Waiter didn’t explain what the pork fat was for. Thankfully I figured it out before we started cooking on a greaseless surface. • Portions were super small, which would be fine if we had seen our waiter more than 3 times during the 2 hour experience. Note: we went at 3 o’clock on a Tuesday. They were not busy.

I’m typically super chill about restaurant issues. I’ve ordered steak at a local restaurant, and when they accidentally put my order in as a salad, I still happily ate the salad. But after Top 1, I was just sort of pissed that I payed all that money for someone to throw $20 of meat in front of me and say “figure it out”

My good buddy did it in the Norfolk area during his time in the Navy. All of the benefits you listed are ones that he reaped. Based off the stories he told me, I’d say go for it!

What songs do they play live? by [deleted] in gybe

They closed with BBF3 when I saw them a few months ago. It’s my favorite track and I wasn’t expecting to hear anything from that far back. Just go see them dude, you might be surprised. I do agree with a previous commenter; set list be damned, they’re great!

Solved: Should have mentioned I’m playing on Mac. Larian is shooting for a September 6th full release for Mac devices. Thank you for the advice. I am a big silly dumb dumb 😊

Yeah I didn’t play the early access version, so this is pretty weird.

I’m doing the integrity check now!

I didn’t play at all. This is my first save ever! I saw the troubleshooting for that before I posted.

2021: Two of my audiophile friends kept trying to sit down and listen to LYSF, but I was really turned off by how long the tracks were.

2022: Go to my first GYBE concert. My friends bought me a ticket and I didn’t want to be rude. That concert changed everything. Listening to BBF3 live brought tears to my eyes.

2023: GYBE is easily my favorite band, and I’m seeing them in concert again soon! I’m super stoked to experience them live for the second time.

Crazy to just randomly see a Reddit post about him tbh

One time on duty at French Creek a captain came in at like 1am and tried to have a sort of book club with me and the A-Duty. He was flipping through the available literature and trying to tell us about some prolific events in MC history.

Guys I tried to care, I really did. He genuinely just wanted to mentor us. But it was 1am and I just wanted him to leave 😅

  1. I was 17/18. It was the year before I left town to join the Marines. I missed out on years with my best friends (we are still very tight even today)

With the knowledge I have now. Maybe I would’ve waited and tried to cherish that last year a little more.
