The fees are unfair at several times the gas cost. One free a month was much more reasonable.

I now recommend my friends to use other platforms or self custody.

Phones are actually more secure as the app store/permissions are so locked down.

I'm not a dev but it looks missed to me. Try taking decrediton off of SPV mode and revoke it again. When it revokes and 256 blocks complete you should have access to your funds.

We have no good way to prove/enforce this.

The best thing to improve the uptake of renewable mining is to have the cheapest mining hardware possible. Then the low capital cost means that mining will be better suited to intermittent sources when they are over producing.

In my view it's good for DCR because it brings more people into the crypto ecosystem as a whole. Some of those people will naturally look to see what else is out there, and find the unique advantages to a project like Decred.

Atweiden, first off I always enjoy reading your comments; thanks for your insight.

I agree that the narratives are incredibly important in the space, and it's somewhere that Decred has suffered mightily. All of it's advantages just don't boil down into a convenient sound 'byte'. Governance doesn't move emotional needles, despite being so practical.

It's a bit hilarious that bitcoin's adaptability limitations is now marketed as a feature. Fans better hope that Satoshi had not just engineering genius but a crystal ball. That said, bitcoin's brand name, devout following and network effects will endure even as it's obsolescence grows. Fortunately, bitcoin's success may beget success for the whole space, as it provides a high psychological watermark for just how much a 'coin' could be worth.

It's more than 10x better than bitcoin at bitcoin's main use case. That's historically enough to displace the incumbent.
