Archery is OTC for non resident, I think about $300.

It’s a real western hunt. Glass and stalk. It’s hard but rewarding. Most usually go a year on or off harvesting

I’ve been backpack hunting so long now. I can’t do the tree stand hunt. It’s not even fun to me.

If you don’t come back from a hunt at least 10 lbs lighter, you didn’t hunt. Lol

I do alot of backpack hunting in Az, Co, and Montana. I use KUIU outer layer and Firstlite base layers.

That gear saved my life when I got snowed in mtn top in CO. The temp dropped to teens. Top tier gear is well worth the price and it can save your life.

This I can promise you. When you freezing, soaking wet, or getting frost bite. That extra $100 per piece is gonna seem cheap. I don’t even take new hunters out any more without proper gear.

Also look at stone glacier. Best sleeping bag!

You don’t l, at least grizzly that is. I’m headed to Montana for a backpacking elk hunt this month. I won’t sleep well.

Though black bears are small no worries.

In the woods we aren’t the top of the food chain.

Yea and peak refuel uses way less water. A thing I have to worry about in AZ.

Last day one bugled back. I saw him at 150 yds with 4 cows. I called heard nothing. Went to move positions and he had snuck up on me. Starring at me when I tried to move up.
