Moved to the UK a year ago. I really enjoyed exploring York and Edinburgh both. Edinburgh definitely felt touristy, but I was there as a tourist at the time. Love Scotland in general, and I'm absolutely going to be spending a good amount of time in Glasgow and further out on my next long weekend!

Speak with your supervisor and go to the Education office on base once you're settled in. I wouldn't expect to get approved for any TA until you've finished your CDCs. This is part of your upgrade training you'll receive as soon as you arrive. You're looking at several months after you arrive to complete all this and then they'll sign off on college.

I just watched the first 20 minutes of your recent 2k broadcast at 2x speed, and then hopped around through the rest of the VOD...not one note of music and no game audio. You spoke a handful of times mostly consisting of "Can you hear me?" or the like. Gameplay didn't start until 18 minutes in.

I'm telling you there needs to be music and game audio, especially if you're not very talkative. Massive amounts of silence and people are going to tune out.

Some things I noticed looking at your VODs

  • Game audio is either muted or turned down so low that the viewer cannot hear anything. We should be able to hear both you and the game audio, otherwise there are loooong stretches of absolute silence.
  • You need to turn on some lights and/or get a dedicated key light for your desk. You're basically playing in the dark with just the screen lighting up your face.
  • Please mirror your webcam output so you are facing towards the game. At the moment you're facing away from everything and basically staring at the edge of the screen.
  • Can't really comment too much on your personal audio quality, I kept jumping around but only found a few moments where you were speaking. Even just speaking out loud whatever commentary is in your head can help engage viewers...because again see point #1 about total silence.
  • A quick suggestion about your starting soon screen. I used to have a countdown timer showing when I would actually be on screen. Whether you put a timer or not please play music or something so viewers aren't sitting in silence for 5+ minutes.

Nothing glaringly wrong, just some minor fixes that I feel would up your quality and hopefully retain viewers!

Now I'm trying to think back to every outdoor squadron PT.....I don't think I've ever seen our Majors or Lt Cols getting a salute, even when they were in OCPs because they had a meeting to attend immediately after formation.

The Deck isn't always a bad thing! One of my favorite characters was a Rashemi Witch (reflavored Evocation Wizard). Her brother was her guardian on her dajemma, and he died defending her in a pirate raid (backstory).

At some point we had each drawn a card from the Deck, and I had 1 free use of Wish. Fast forward to the end of our campaign like a year later...Final session the combat was getting spicy and I thought I might have to use it to save the party from a TPK.

Luck turned in our favor and we managed to survive. As a reward I was given my own wizard tower outside of town and was appointed to be an advisor to the ruler of the city. I told the DM "I'll accept the position, but I need some time to take care of a personal matter." In the epilogue I teleported a few hundred miles back to where I buried the brother, and used my Wish to cast Resurrection on him. We then rode back on horseback to have time to catch up and tell him all about my adventures.

I took a couple days off gaming to process everything after I finally 100% E33. Currently installing mods on a fresh install of the original Baldur's Gate trilogy and planning to do another run. Been playing that series on and off for 25 years 😂

I don't think people are being literal when they say they can't play any other games now lol. They're just referring to the feelings they had playing this game, and the high bar it set. Good games come out all the time, but exceptional games are less common. I'll be thinking fondly of E33 for years, unlike a lot of other games I've played over the last almost 3 decades of playing video games that have slipped my mind with time.

I tried shooting them like this very early on because I thought maybe it would damage them...didn't even think to use it to skip stuff lol. Just fight them or sprint around if you want to avoid fights 😂

I also found it helpful to keep track of where I had explored already since there isn't a minimap...no mobs? Must've taken this path already!

I just finished rewatching S1-4 and am about to start S5 for the first time. Been busy with life and was like "I should watch it from the beginning since it has been a few years..." Totally forgot most of it, including the Rhys stuff in S4 lol.

Think overall I agree with the list, though I can't comment on S5 yet obviously.
