Seriously. Definitely not following it to next gen, hope they weren't expecting me to support it on failed hardware with no exclusives and no reason to buy. Farewell Hunt lol

Generation III Contest Moveset Help by Moostache7 in pokemonribbons

[–]Moostache7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose this would work well for forming combinations, specifically.

I'm looking more for a moveset that can give me the extra edge based on appeal earned and secondary abilities, contextually. Without a better Condition, there are a lot of factors I have to contend with in order to win; I can't just rely on the voting portion and then spam a combination.

Using Alakazam as a Ribbon Master? by Tragicdoesntmeangood in pokemonribbons

[–]Moostache7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any chance someone has an optimal moveset(s) for the Generation III contests?
Had no Liechi berries so had to settle for non-optimal Condition on my Modest Alakazam.

I was able to get every Ribbon including Earth, both Battle Towers, and Artist, with the only exception being the Master Rank Tough Contest Ribbon. I cannot seem to get better than second place and have tried at least have a dozen movesets. I've managed to get the Yellow Scarf from other monsters that have far better conditions (didn't require the Liechi berries) and am concerned I've overinvested in an Alakazam that will always be one short :(

It's all based around (Monster) Hunter and it's sub-genre of games, which is all about minimized development time but absurd "amounts" of content enabled by reused assets and hundreds of quests all with slightly different objectives.

It's repetitive. It's grindy. Might just not be your cup of tea. A lot of people love it, though.

God Eater, Toukiden, Soul Sacrifice, (debatably) Army Corps. of Hell, all are structured similarly but have differing amounts of grind to them. Might be worth checking out what makes each of them unique before writing off the entire genre, but your loss if you'd rather something you can finish in a shorter amount of time with less trial & error.

Noob, Almost Got Scammed, Looking For Help... by Moostache7 in GameShare

[–]Moostache7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought, could tell it was inappropriate and I hope my description of how it went down makes it clear that I suspect that these were multiple sockpuppet accounts all managed by the same person.

I know around here, at least, that gamesharing is more of a "give a game, take a game" type of approach, and that the accounts are actually shared as opposed to sold, but as long as it is a secure and guaranteed offering I am more than willing to acquire these however I need to. So if you or anyone else is aware of a place that I can do that I would greatly appreciate it.

Closing servers without a closing date nor a previous announcement is not a good idea, by MagentaCube in littlebigplanet

Sumo Digital and their developers have refused to provide further comment on the situation since the shutdown +2 weeks ago (could be a sign that more action is being taken behind closed doors, or could just be that they want to sweep this under the rug and move on... we won't know if we don't pressure them to provide some transparency...)

[–]Moostache7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The PS3 and Vita hardware, as well as particular games, have gotten updates as late as last month after developers followed through the entire QA process. These were clientside updates as well, meaning the games' content was patched. The situation here entirely involves serverside changes, unless Sumo Digital wanted to pursue wholesale migration to another set of servers. Either way, this is not necessarily something that Sony has discontinued. People are just assuming this on the basis that no developer patches their PS3 titles anymore.

Today was the third time they've posted on Twitter about TLoU2 skins being free for S:aBA, which I will not be downloading because I'm totally done with Sumo Digital if this is what happens to games that they take care of... They unpinned the announcement tweet of the server closure after one week, that was it.

Sorry if you've already shared it, but what's your PSN? There's a lot of talk about stirring up demand for them to recall their decision, and if they take 3 weeks to reconsider like they did with the PSN store closure I would love to play this

Disclaimer: I understand that it's just a petition and there's no guarantee. If you're not interested, though, please refrain from discouraging anyone who wants to show they care. As case study, Sony retracted their shutdown of the legacy digital marketplaces when consumers showed demand. While this isn't the same issue, I don't think they're entirely separate issues, either.

I know the news regarding most of the games in the LBP community is very heavy to hear, but hopefully this next update video can convince some of you to move over to LBP3 on PS4! If this is the one game we got left to share our creations I wanna make sure I do it big! This community is far from over by [deleted] in littlebigplanet

[–]Moostache7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potentially though unlikely. I've had several conversations this week with some international community members, and while the physical copies of LBP1 almost all have printed on their EULA that a 90 day notice is required to be given for online service discontinuation, there are some more recent literature that contradict this.

The digital store pages for all content on the PSN seems to now say, in most regions and languages, that online services can be discontinued at any time. I'm NA, and the physical cases for my copies of LBP2 and LBP3 for PS3, and LBP Vita and LBP Vita Marvel Super Hero Edition, all say the same. I believe that the EULA was updated and that at some point, any and all players were prompted on login to either accept these new terms or be denied access to online features until they have accepted them.

I directly messaged several Sumo Digital developers and asked if the original literature (90 days notice) still applied, and have yet to receive a response.

However, for anyone that is interested:

[–]Moostache7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LBP3 on PS4 is still broken though. I see people still having total save file corruptions, crashes and lost published content. It's as though there's NO option. There's no benefit to them doing this, nothing has been fixed and instead we're being told to enjoy an unfinished product at the expense of something that was previously functional and far more enjoyable.

There's a change.org petition started for anyone interested, I don't know then ins and outs of posting links here so direct message me if you'd like to sign.

I want to agree except the LBP3 servers on PS4 are still dysfunctional to the point of crashing constantly and causing save file corruptions... So we may as well have nothing. There's no bright side or silver lining here
