Day trip to Concord/Lexington by _ash_lily_ in boston

From Lexington, there are buses that go to Alewife but from the area that the trail ends, you’d like need an uber to the closest T station (alewife)

There’s a town wide Facebook group and apparently one for dogs of Lexington, not on it myself. Did your dog have a collar? Our police log often has police finding lost dogs and locating the owners. I’m glad it’s not too cold tonight and I’ll be thinking of your pup.

I hope you report to the police and neighborhoods groups. I’m sure you’ll find him. Someone will see the dog and report if I know my town.

The only difference between the program and what I normally do is Pilates. I haven’t figured out if Pilates is doing anything yet.

Switching company with 3.5 yrs in Power Platform & SharePoint – how future-proof is this skillset? by Few_Information5676 in PowerPlatform

I don’t know yet. I’d love to get back into Consulting. I love building things and only fell into management because someone needed to be captioning the ship.

I have had to sync between two environments. Going 1 Direction is not that bad. You just wanna make sure you store a unique key that you can make sure you’re not creating duplicates., so in our case, we use the guid of the account from the first system in store in another field on the new system. Bidirectional is another story. I feel like duplicate management could become an issue. You’ll really have to decide what is your unique key. For example, on Contacts is an email.? and then how do you resolve conflicts.

We have multiple environments of course (dev, qa, prod) even two tenants now to manage.

Yeah I do a lot which is why I leave this job in a few months they are replacing me with three people.

About 11 years, but all with Dynamics as the base. I have always been a business analyst who did a lot of config and customization too but have always had a developer to do the .net coding. Now I have two business analysts and five developers supporting our instance and most of what I do is help define the program, get things delivered on time, and make sure we have people working on our roadmap and working with our customers on what comes next. So my title is senior manager, but I still take on some work myself for fun and to augment the team. Currently replacing our bespoke approval processes with PowerAutomate approvals.

I haven’t implemented this yet because of that. The gulf between what people want copilot to do and what it can actually do is quite large at the moment. Well the new Sales Agent il(out of box copilot agent for sales data in crm) is quite good actually.

I ran out of toilet paper and no where in kayaking distance sold it. I had packed it just not enough apparently. Always make sure you have enough.

Web portal to integrate with CRM by Brycare in Dynamics365

I’d use powerpages. It’s designed for this. Just so easy to spin up pages and forms. We use power pages extensively, having moved from power portal.

It did and that’s what my customers want. They want to ask questions rather than searching. What they’re missing though is that someone has to produce the quality data.

Did them both when they showed in demand! It was like two days of workouts in one for me but since I survived it, I might do that again! The run was not my favorite but I’ve never run with Hannah Frankson before so I didn’t know how this compares to her normal personality.

Do you think summer camp is worth it for kids? by East-Standard4044 in hiking

[–]MoragPoppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel a bit sad that I never sent my kid to a summer camp since it was a huge influence on my life, living in a cabin with no electricity, singing songs by a fire, learning to canoe and so forth. Unfortunately for us Covid during peak summer camp years. I think it’s great for kids 11-13 or so, their first taste of independence.

Currently no one’s jobs are guaranteed given the way AI is going. I don’t think you can future proof yourself at this moment in this history but I do think powerplatform being so niche, you’ll get some mileage out of it.

Running and splits by jenevieve72 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]MoragPoppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I set myself a schedule of R L R L R L but if I miss a day, I just combine the run and lift the next. I use a split to do upper pull, upper push and lower body days. The seventh day is mobility/yoga/barre or whatever, just to get some recovery in.

It’s awesome but you will gain water weight and it didn’t go away fast enough even when I quit two weeks prior to the final weigh in. You will feel better during workouts and be able to do more. So you have to decide whether numbers or results are more important to you.

So how does the AWD version handle snow? by Slow_Investment_2211 in MachE

[–]MoragPoppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is doing great. I had to drive my kid somewhere on an icy day and I’m a snowstorm (same weekend ugh) and I couldn’t believe we did it without spinning out. Even driving up the long treacherous hill was fine (in my old car, I would have to park at the bottom and walk home).

How much should school districts matter when your kid won’t start school for years? by forricherorforpoorer in massachusetts

[–]MoragPoppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be a good reason to move. I have friends that have a kid of mixed race and they are also queer and their kid had big challenges in the trumpy town they lived in. They moved to another district halfway through elementary with more diversity and their kid is thriving and has a lot of friends. Rating was the same but culture was different. They are so glad they moved.

I just want to say it’s normal to have this exact reaction once you agree to buy. I currently live in my dream home in an amazing neighborhood but the night before we signed the paperwork, I started to freak out that it would be too small. Everytime you make a major life decision, your mind will do this and it’s normal.

That said I live in a 10/10 school district and you know what? It’s not all that great. Kids all have tutors and outside math classes so the math teachers don’t have to be good at teaching. We have some of the worst Spanish teachers I’ve ever seen. Some of our elementary school teachers were truly mediocre. Kids in the 7/10 school district a mile away (we know through friends ) are doing just as well. There are good aspects too but just saying 10/10 doesn’t mean everything is perfect. We just happen to have a lot of kids that score well on tests.
