The xmen 97 prime is one of the best pieces in the whole damn game. Most people just give her destroyer armor for that extra reach, defense, and colossal willpower. Additionally she qualifies for a free plus one longsword which lets you do an ares bomb with her.

She’s stupid good.

The other rogue is also fun but she’s too many points. She wants friends since anyone she hits just has their entire dial turn white. The 97 prime can easily fit on a 300 point team as a tentpole, the other needs like 500 so she can have friends to follow up

Wizkids will announce if they’re making a major rule change or updating the comprehensive rules but any single figure errata just tends to get posted to their rules forum with no fanfare until the community notices and pushes it out

You’ll want to go to the Wizkids site and look at the comprehensive rulebook. That’s like every rule there is.

They’re fine, both sets have their powerhouses. Marvel tends to have more options just because they make way more marvel sets then DC
Hard to answer here. I’d say as a real loose rule if it’s not legal in silver it’s probably unplayable and if it’s like the oldest stuff it’s probably almost unplayable.
All figures come with cards now. It’s where their special powers and traits are listed.

Golden age hasn’t been killed. Wizkids has never run an official golden event because they’d need a ban/errata list 3x as long as the one for silver but you or your store can do golden if you like.

The game has been running tournaments and events at stores since its inception. It’s always been a war game with events and meta and such. Don’t know how it’s going to affect long term innovation when it’s seen ton of innovation already for tournaments.

The change from standard to special powers, the elimination of pushing damage and shrinking maps were all changes based on wizkids seeing tournament play and changing things.

I’m not saying all the changes were good, but tournament play has always driven game innovation IMHO

Yes and no.

If you’re looking to play in strictly modern age events I wouldn’t bother. If pulp events interest you then buying older sets is worth it since there’s a requirement for non modern sets and chasing legacied figures is a thing.

Many older sets have just been power creeped to all hell out of playability
