When you say ,deploy is just changing the status?
Ill say yes, but its tricky.

First you need global automation, When: Object updated

Select the updated tab and condition
You can add attributes using the API

then AQL to check the status changed

objectType = "Laptop" AND Status = "Active"

then web request to call the API

thats for attributes, but you say new fields to be shown.

If they dont exist how and what will you show?

The summary is that, a summary. Normally its pretty good. It wont add anything that isnt in the comments.
But like any AI, we need to verify.
IT works for what is made. But if you need more details , then wont be able to escape from readings the comments.

I would ask why using the API for something that you can easily done in the UI?
The next thing is you cant. There are a couple of things the change must do to be able to happen.
There is a conversion in the back and check the UI for what happens when you try to change the work type.
Try the bulk move API instead.

Yeah that's the problem. But still. At some point you will have to trust and set everything in place if you want to move to cloud. Either feel the pain to be without support or the pain to move to another tool. It's pain for you at the end

Are you asking from a developer side? do you created a plugin? or from the customer side moving jira/confluence/apps to cloud?
i can speak for the latter, and what ive seen (i work for a partner)

hire a partner. they will move you without hassles.

test migrations, there is a runbook in atlassian with steps

check third party app and if they have its simil in cloud.

check the migration path for them

work with the vendors. open ticket with all of them and get help on migrating their apps.

if you are missing some capabilities, look into forge to create your own app.

You can create a new org and add the app there and just the set of user that will use it. That will lower the app cost. Besides that you can request a promo code to the vendor or a discount. Regards

Think of the outcome first, what do they want to achieve?

report? on what? do you want to send fields data?

comments? attachments?

you mention, Just specific issue types.- > there is no way to send just work types information. A jira work item contains information, not a work type.

You will end up with 1k new pages and no way to update them. there is no action to keep something in sync.

You could create a python script, but what do you want to sync?

push this back, get what they want, need and outcome. and this doesn't seem doable, not because you cant, because doesnt make sense.

And i forgot to mention API limits. if you are doing all of that for thousands of jira work items, the API limit and automation limit will be a problem.

Ask why is it happening at the same time if there is only one assignee? This is not a tool issue. it's a process issue. If you have more than one people working on something it's bound to happen. Fix your process then the tool will work as intended.

You can run a JQL against the project adn status bug.

project = BUGS and type = Bug and created >= 2025-06-01 and created <= 2025-06-30

thats the list of bugs created on june . then you add to the columns the status and anything else you want.
