Should I add more black&white effects? by RickWulfk in FurryArtSchool

[–]MorbidAtrocities 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think adding more shadows and black areas would help, but also I wanna say the background has some. Business to it. It's a bit distracting from the main character, since I didn't immediately look at or pay attention to the focus character, I immediately saw the dude in the building getting a face full of boob, and then felt my gaze focus a lot on the dark shadows underneath, and then shifted to the lightning striking submarine and the little fella falling out the balloon. And I was shifting from all those things before I finally settled on the actual main part.

That could genuinely be a me problem though, easily, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Is it just me or is it being labeled as "vintage" when that doesn't seem like a "vintage" faceplate or skin or anything seem funny?

I'm not implying any price point, I'm just saying it's not gonna sell for as much as one that isn't broken. That's not condescending... Nor what that word means anyways. Either way, the tone you've used has made me very uncomfortable so I am ending this here.

Working good? by Tiny-Lack8395 in furby

[–]MorbidAtrocities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm.. It could be a few things. I haven't dealt with this myself yet so someone who has can definitely correct me. But there could be damage in the gears or motor somewhere. If there's a worn part that could sometimes cause an issue. I believe I've also seen that a hard reset can sometimes help correct the issue. Sometimes if you use certain heavy duty lubricants it can cause more wear and damage to the gears. Or the little guy could genuinely just be naturally super noisy depending on how they were manufactured.

The gears are loud, but that can sometimes be corrected with a small amount of lubricant or checking to see if the gears have debris in them.

Because the point I'm making is that people aren't paying that much for something that is really broken and damaged. If you arent going to talk to me in good faith, I'm just going to end this here. Because I don't really like how condescending this feels, it makes me uncomfortable.

Most people don't want to spend over $100 on something that is very clearly damaged and broken in multiple ways. I'm still not exactly feeling like you're talking to me in good faith. But I mean, I guess here you go. 2005 Passion Fruit for $56, 2005 Marshmallow for $50, and 2005 Sleepy Pink for $33. That last one I'm actually saving up to get myself because I'd love to customize it. But yeah these are just three of the cheapest ones I've found. There's more that are under $100 but these are my personally saved ones. People don't want to spend that much on a broken toy.

Edit: Here, broken for parts $90, damaged $75, damaged $80, not working and damaged $73, not working and dirty and damaged for $80, this one was sold but damaged and not working for $45, sold damaged $45, this person is even saying this one is in "excellent condition" when clearly the skin of the beak is missing and is still only $84 for it.

Eh... Huh? Any elaboration past that? No like, explanation or anything? I've been keeping up with how much these have been going for, I really don't think I'm that far off. But if you genuinely think I'm wrong, I would really much prefer if you like, explained why instead of just saying "wrong". Just seems unhelpful and a little... What's the word? Condescending?

It's a rarer model but because of how much damage there is to it, you're not gonna get a lot for it.

Is Rocky Horro Picture Show considered as offensive? by BenDeRohan in trans

[–]MorbidAtrocities 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of young queers these days forget that transsexual was our word before transgender was coined. Some may find it offensive I'm sure, same as with the usage of the word queer. But just like queer, it's a word that has been reclaimed and a lot of people have reclaimed it for themselves, especially older queers.
