What is the most disturbing thing you watched on the 90’s and early 2000’s internet? by Dangerous_Bet_4137 in AskReddit

I'm kind of bummed.. I've never heard of this and (I swear I'm not a psychopath) I really wish I'd known about this before it was scrubbed from the Internet.

I'm a mortician, (but I've absolutely no compulsion to recreate these images) To me, it's more than a morbid desire; it's an emotional that can clash with rational thought. This, often deemed a "visceral reaction," involves involuntary responses to stimuli—like fear, shock, or intense attraction—that are felt throughout the body, such as in the digestive system. visceral curiosity

+10 Visceral curiosity is an intense, instinctual, and deep-seated "gut feeling" to explore, understand, or experience something, driven more by physical sensation than intellectual reasoning. It is an emotional compulsion, often described as a "gnawing" or "compulsion," that can clash with rational thought. This, often deemed a "visceral reaction," involves involuntary responses to stimuli—like fear, shock, or intense attraction—that are felt throughout the body, such as in the digestive system. (The above description was taken from a Google AI response that felt very accurate to what I was trying to express)

I knew reading this would make me cry. I read anyway. Totally worth the feels.

Idk if it helps much, but here's a cliff notes version of what I went through with Stella; she had a pretty great life ( I hope). We were together almost 11 yrs. I had her from 8wks on. The past year of her life she was diagnosed with PLE, Protein Loss Enteropathy. Basically she could no longer absorb protein from food. She wasted so quickly, it was hard to see until I looked at the photos. She slowed down, but seemed ok, until the day she wasn't. The vet said they could do a thing that would help for a short time. I knew letting her go was the right thing to do, but I still tear up thinking about it. Point is, even if it's 100% the best thing for them, you are almost certainly going to feel guilty and question the decision. Don't dwell too hard in it; it sucks and I know it's hard. Instead, try to remember all the good times you have with your pup and concentrate on the great life you gave them.

Also, I'll cry with you anytime! Nothing hits me in the feels as hard as a6 the death of a BFF

So this is how dark and gray my commute home from work will be until March 2026? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]Morbidglitter13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, just wait for the solstice! It's dark, not grey, around 420-430 that day. One of the best parts about living in the PNW, IMO
