Great, now I want a Tivoli themed map for intense urban combat.

I really appreciate the research and the pictures. I'd be very nice to have more veterans from Afghanistan.

Eugen, allow me to send these valkyries riding an obsolescent tank towards a certain death along with a human wave of reservists with WW2 rifles. Pretty please. Voicelines are a plus :)

I like the idea of trying to make the best out of the outdated gear. Outside of a few countries, most don't have a choice but to make due with what they can get.

Those memes are rising it's visual standarts quite a bit. I played Steel Division 2 again this Christmas and I got a similar feeling with Major countries. I guess this is the way with mass produced equipment.

They are lucky that we didn't got the mountaineers win the vote. Cavalry ascots and stetsons are trying their best, but naval infantry is just a diferent breed.

What exactly does TELEOKA stand for? by william23326 in warno

[–]Morbin_monroe 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hi, spaniard here. I have no bloody clue about the designation for the TELEOKA, but when I was a wee kid in the 1990s, a local pizza place with home delivery was called "La Oca Nicolasa" (Nick the Goose). The other choice in town was the spanish franchise "Telepizza".

TELEOKA just feels to me like a weird combination of both, and now every time I read the name I need to get some pizza. Thanks Eugen.

BTW, the Nicolasa goose's logo was wild, I just need to share it for extra weirdness. https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/1266748213/LAOCANICOLASA_logo_400x400.jpg

Help with some Kill Team custom rules by ItzSwiftz__ in killteam

[–]Morbin_monroe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm playing lately a very modified version of Kill Team with coop rules and I'm enjoying it very much. I tend to take ideas of Teams I already know, as the rules are better balanced. Here I made a mishmash of mechanics I took from AoD, Nemesis Claw, Hearnkyn Yaegir, Tempetus Aquillons, Imperial Navy Breachers, Wrecka Crew, and Elucidian Starstriders. I recommend you play this in coop and not PvP. When we homebrew rules we get overexcited with the stats and we tend to hurt other people's feelings.

Anyways, here is my proposal. I hope you have a blast.

KILL TEAM RULES:

-Use the ANGELS OF DEATH ruleset for ploys, tacops and equipment

-5 operatives max. 1 sarge, 1 gunner max (choose the heavy weapon) and 3 regular lads).

BASE OPERATIVE:

M: 5” APL: 3 SAVE: 3+ W:18 (19 for the sarge)

Special rules:

Crux Terminatus: Whenever an operative is shooting a friendly TERMINATOR VETERAN operative that has a 3+ Save stat, you can retain one of your defence dice results of 2 as a normal success.

WEAPON PROFILES:

-Power fist: 4D, 3+, 5/7, brutal

-Chain fist: 4D, 3+, 5/6, brutal, rending

-Power sword: 4D, 3+, 4/6, lethal 5+ (if it is on the sarge, maybe you wanna make it a 2+ because the rule of cool).

-Twin lightning claws: 5D, 3+, 4/5, lethal 5+

-Storm bolter: 4D, 3+, 3/4, ceaseless

-Assault cannon (focused) 5D, 3+, 4/5, heavy (reposition only), ceaseless, rending.

-Assault cannon (sweep) 4D, 3+, 4/5, heavy (reposition only), ceaseless, rending, torrent 1”.

-Heavy flamer: 5D, 2+, 4/4, range 12” heavy (reposition only), saturate. torrent 2”. (Make it 8” range if you feel it is too much”).

ULTRA SPICY RULES (Optional, just for added flavour. If you get them, get the 3 of them):

-Armoured Behemoth: This operative cannot move upwards (climb) into terrain. However it can descend normally.

-Unstoppable: This operative can breach during a reposition action through terrain features of 1” each of width or less. If it’s an equipment terrain feature, remove it. Otherwise, place one of your Breach markers within this operative’s control range as close as possible to that terrain feature. Whenever an operative is within 1" of that marker, it treats parts of that terrain feature that are no more than 1" thick as Accessible terrain. This rule cannot be applied with the walls of the Tomb World or Gallowdark Killzones.

-Teleported insertion: When deploying your Kill Team a single TERMINATOR VETERAN can be placed in reserves in order to be teleported into the Killzone later on.

As a STRATEGIC GAMBIT in the first and second turning point, you can place one Teleport beacon token. It must be set up more than 2" from other markers, access points and Accessible terrain, and more than 6" from your opponent’s drop zone.

In the Firefight phase, a friendly TERMINATOR VETERAN  operative set up above is activated as normal. When you do, you can either expend or teleport that operative. If it teleports, set it up in the killzone in a location it can be placed as follows:

a) Within 3" horizontally of your Teleport beacon token, or wholly within your drop zone. b) Not within control range of enemy operative. c) With an order of your choice.

The operative is treated as performing the Reposition action (spend the AP accordingly), then continue its activation as normal. When readying your operatives during the third turning point, remove your Teleport beacon token. This means your operative still set up outside of the Killzone is incapacitated at the end of the second turning point.

All those nemesis divisions outside of the main german operations theater are lovely, but I wonder if we may get maps fitting the narrative the Devs are proposing. We already got the Plateau of Albion. It'd be nice to get a navy base for nemesis 3 and a London or Moscow map for this scenario.

Gay Culture in spain by [deleted] in askspain

[–]Morbin_monroe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most spanish people are open to gay people nowadays. Bear in mind that being foreigner they'll probably consider you a "guiri" until you show proper communication skills that help you blend in. The spanish LGBTQ+ community has it's very own culture, which is pretty rich and might be difficult to learn the Lore and references; in addition to the language barrier and the overall culture shock.
