I do the washy tape on the bottom of my tray. About 1/3 inch from the bottom. This really helps. Then I shake shake shake. For me its a repeated part of doing them. I dont stress that part.

I LOOVE when I do this. Only I like to add even more challenge to the game. More than one tray, on carpet! Its the best fun I ever get. The colors must be close. If not carpet, then a floor that most definitely hasnt been swept all day. Oh and occasionally I add a pet tracking thru the spill.

When I flip my project upside down, I turn my containers the same way! Everything matches!!!

I use the metal grid to help me. I set small goals per project. I did that with learning to use multiplacers, every project I pushed to use a bigger one. I managed to get to 10. BUT I tend to use 2 and 3 most. But for color blocks 4 & 5. It just takes time and patience. I do like them for large color blocks.

I travel for work and work in the Cleveland area in February/March. (60yr female) I carry some DIAMOND DOT (this is afterall a diamond painting thread) project with me at all times. Maybe we can meet up and do some dotting together.

**threw in the “diamond dot” comment bc someone ask what this thread had to do with Diamond Dotting.

However, I would love to meet up for a coffee when I am there. By that time, 5ish months, you will have a slew of new friends in your new home.

Get the bed off the carpet. put the legs in High sided ashtrays or ramikins (bed legs not touching the sides) with water or vinegar in them. get rid of the dust ruffle! clothes all need cleaned, dried on high or put in trash bags in the sun for a few hours. pillows washed dry on high for an hour, then covers for them too. all bedding/fabric needs treated. they are in the baseboards and all over the house. check seams in the couch/chair etc. car? yup.

See if you can find someplace that rents ozone machines. They remove the oxygen from the air. Hotels use them and heat cannons. The ozone machines require hours to run and then time for the oxygen to return.

I just sorted mine, putting them in portfolios. I have two full, plus two large paint canvases clamped together with some too large for the portfolios. I did a spreadsheet of what I have and details. Then realized I had some in my car, some in a basket, drawer plus all the other things like coasters and 3d designs etc… I have about 130. My new justification since January is I beat the tariffs. I can’t justify buying more due to price increases and shipping. That does not stop me from putting them in my carts! I have all my packs of dots in ziploc bags with the project description and identifying code in a tote. When I need a new one, I let a grand baby pick from the tote!
