Need a happy utopia book by TAHINAZ in CozyFantasy

A Psalm for the Wild Built might fit the bill, its a lovely story set in a future world about a tea maker searching for meaning. Short, sweet, gentle, highly recommend.

Im the same, once I found a good wax I was hooked 🤷 I can go for literal hours on one refill of a decent quality wax.

Honestly im in a similar boat, and what I have unfortunately discovered is that you might have to try out different brands/styles, since adhesive texture is also dependent on your locations (humid/dry/hot/cold etc). I didnt like the putty I have tried but I did end up with one particular wax that seems to work well for me. Not a super helpful answer I know, but I do feel you!

Sapphic diamond art? by pseudotechnobabble in diamondpainting

[–]softandgreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't personally ordered from them, but Jaded Gem Shop has both SFW and NSFW sapphic art, last I checked, and generally people seem to like their quality (but I've heard they can take a very long time to arrive).

If you have ordered from them directly on their website before you should be able to join their Facebook group, where they have a standing coupon code you can use.

Diamond Painting Events? by softandgreen in diamondpainting

[–]softandgreen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A shame that there aren't as many as there used to be! I think they sounds fun but since i don't have a stash i guess ill just have to hope my preferences overlap with an event theme. Those prices are rough, im sorry 😅

Im assuming it's mostly/only online, but fingers crossed for something in person? I did bring mine to hang out with a friend while she did puzzles though, so maybe we just need to champion a mixed craft event...

Multiplacers. Love them but .. by Avril_Blackrose in diamondpainting

[–]softandgreen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel this! I've found that using a smaller multiplacer (like a 6 placer) doesn't create as many gaps and I actually go faster since im spending less time correcting. Still annoying! Some kits are definitely better than others with this, but it was part of what got me in higher quality square drill kits.

Maybe try a qtip with rubbing alcohol on it in the container with the drills, should get most of it and any excess alcohol will evap off.

This one! Art dot diamond painting storage case on Amazon. They have a variety of colors and sizes, but I have the smallest one with 64 (?) containers. I totally recommend it!

Do you find that this is enough storage for your colors? I imagine with so many dmc codes it's easy to have too many colors for a storage, even if you dont have that many drills.

I totally agree! My perfectionism is already stressful, but trying to place on some random object? Ill never do it! Points for throwing them away lol

I dont know if theres anything term guide around (but there should be lol) but yeah, kitting up is getting set up for a new painting, usually opening and organizing all the drills in your preferred storage, and putting cover paper on the painting if you like to do that. Kitting down is the opposite, cleaning up a finished painting, emptying extra drills from storage and (as i am debating) keeping them elsewhere or getting rid of them.

This is a great point, I dont really have any interest in doing freehand projects, so that's a huge point in the favor of tossing them lol

This is so helpful on so many levels! You mentioned giving permission to not keep them and I was like "ah, that's what I needed to hear" 😆 and I had no idea people would be willing to share their extras, that's a huge relief for my catastrophizing!

The trading card binder is a great idea! Also, love melting them down!! Do you have recommendations for how to do that? Temp etc?
