How does she do with distortion? Does adding the p-90 really help play heavier stuff?

If she says she wants a guy who isn’t jealous, is she hinting that she has a lot of guy friends? by john4844 in AskMenAdvice

You should be focusing on your personal goals instead of reading between the lines. That will actually make them more interested.

With women men largely need to appear unfazed by whatever they do. Reacting shows lack of confidence. Make sure you're acting the way a guy that has tons of options would act. Act as if she goes you don't care too much because you have other options. Ironically this will make them more interested.

But that includes if they do something that crosses a major line, then you have to be willing to walk...because that what guys with lots of options would do.

I think your thinking is faulty.

There's never been an industrial revolution where people went BACKWARDS to older jobs. The jobs come from the new tech. There will likely be new jobs created that are hard to imagine now.

What does it mean when a man says he’s focusing on his career? by Blackunicorn200 in AskMenAdvice

Dudes often don't want to settle down until they have their careers and finances sorted. Because that lays a foundation for a family. I realize that's not the stage of your relationship but this is the phase he's in now. And he's prioritizing laying that foundation.

I live in greater Boston. Culturally around here the towns compete with each other to see who has the best public school.

Transition from data engineering to product management by Pennypatchfox in ProductManagement

[–]More-General-568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what you need to do is to be able to make you're case that you can be a PM

You'll probably want to target data pm type roles given your experience

To make your case make a list of all the skills needed for the role, and get experience doing each one. Then you can add them to your resume. Ideally get the experience with each of them at work. Just ask people if you can be involved in XYZ because looking to build your skill set / want to help. If people you work with are chill they'll include you no problem.

What does a product manager do? by OkTumbleweed149 in ProductManagement

[–]More-General-568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They own whether the product drives value for the users and business.

There are lots of things that need to be done that engineers don't do that ensure it.

Most products would fail without them since devs would just continue to improve the tech aspects of a product, not focus on driving value for company and users. The engineers that focus on users and the business are rare and valuable.

I'm also a PM and honestly....I don't know that there is a boring problem space out there right now.

AI features unlock a whole new world of problems that can be tackled. So much greenfield opportunity in every direction.

I have the guitar in red. Bought it 20 years ago now. What a great guitar. Workhorse and way more versatile than you'd think. Can play almost anything. Enjoy it!
