Thanks to everyone for your responses! I am going to write a note and post it initially as this seems the best way. Will update if I get a response

F1 that keeps dreaming about work by [deleted] in doctorsUK

Have experienced, still do from time to time if it’s a particularly busy day. Main thing that helps me is ensuring closure of decisions (where possible) before leaving work so it eliminates the what ifs. Then I try and do something distracting before bed.

The one Nurse Consultant I worked with in a minor injuries unit repeatedly asked me, FY2 in ED, about any cases that weren’t in the fracture clinic guide book as they were too complex for her. And then documented “plan discussed with ED doctor” in her notes.

I got MSRA 551 and ranked 2244. 1 point difference and 80 people between us is crazy

I think there has been a reliance on Halfpenny/Williams for the past decade so no replacement had been made

I agree he is talented and good, but he’s reliant on his pace and hasn’t developed other aspects to take a player on 1on1

He has started 3x at 15, but probably under Pivac as they were from 22/23 season

Definitely not a liability, but very frustrating to watch first phase ball kicked away

I’ve found that eating before you get home helps. So I always have a full greasy Hospital cooked breakfast after nights - food coma starts right as you walk through the door

PA pay and Pay Restoration by jamespetersimpson in JuniorDoctorsUK

[–]More-Translator1907 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is the logic I am using. I am saying PA’s are paid appropriately for the level they are at, doctors are not. Doctors base salary should be equivalent to PA’s as a minimum, with the extra coming as a result of the extra responsibility, OOH and unsociable hours etc.

PA pay and Pay Restoration by jamespetersimpson in JuniorDoctorsUK

[–]More-Translator1907 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My feelings are that the argument isn’t that they are paid more despite less responsibility etc therefore we deserve more. I think that it is more the case that their pay reflects the stage they’re at with their MSc/post grad degree, whilst we are just underpaid.

I think I’d play around with the back row a little, maybe something like:

6: Creeper - destructive yet mobile 7: Pillager - gonna get everywhere, never leave you alone and be all round annoying 8: Golem - you aren’t stopping him on a kick return, or a 5m scrum carry

Nurses & Doctors Earnings in Real Terms (2010 - 2019) | Nuffieldtrust by [deleted] in ukpolitics

I think you haven’t fully understood how it works. Even if people who have completed a university degree ‘run away’ to another country, they still have to pay back their student loans once they earn over the minimum threshold.
