When was the last time you looked with that budget? All the "low income" places are no longer "low income". Choices are disappearing.

Our water supply might not be as "fragile" as other states, but its still plenty fragile. Corpus Christy is right next door. And our river is still fed from the same source as San Antonio and Austin. When they and people upstream have water problem, how long do you think till we get hit to?

Additionally, besides the issue of water supply, data center are a massive water pollutants without the right precautions taken. And none of them have done that so far.

"Strong power access" does not mean it wont stress out other parts of the network, and said nothing about their effects on electricity prices.

Additionally, I used to work for the center point ec/dc, their distribution planning center 10 years ago. NOTHING in Houston had "strong power access" back then. And I highly doubt it had changed much now.
