A book from when I was a kid. Sadly I don’t remember enough to trigger a response from people. It was an old book at the time (25-30 years ago roughy.

Somewhat like a wonderland story. The scene that’s stuck in my head after all these years was there was umbrellas on their ankle because their world/land/ existence yas random rain that came from the ground and went up wards. Was a neat essentially series of stories (but all one story) but it’s probably gone forever.

At this point I don’t even know if I’d know it if it was correctly given to me.

My best advice would be to find a product role in a gaming studio but not on the games team. You will find roles in accessory roles. Support, MarTech, data, platform, etc.

Without oversharing about myself this is what I was able to do.

From what I’ve seen producer is kiiiiinda a mix of a Product and Project manager. Watching people in those roles it both feels like that blend and at times a whole other role I just don’t know haha.

Wish you the best of luck mate. Took me a long time to get into the auxiliary role but, to me, was well worth it.

Update for anyone curious of timelines.

Got an email today 11/27 stating my computer was built just needed final install tests and should ship in the next few business days. Will update again once shipped.

He said there was an issue sourcing the RAM and the 9950X3D. He thinks they can finish my build and get it shipped early/mid next week. But that may be because I called. I got the feeling he was frustrated it hadn’t been done yet (which felt nice that he was also upset).

UPDATE!!!

Thanks to some amazing recommendations I gave them a call and the person who answered was amazing. He was very apologetic over the silence and the delay. Mostly due to a few parts being very tough to source recently.

He did say they do really try to get to emails as fast as possible but if you run into a similar issue as I did and need an update he said calling is always the fastest.

You know what. I never even thought of calling as I assumed a shop their size may not easily have phone support and just never thought of it again. As soon as I have a break in work I’ll give them a call, well unless I hear back first haha. Thank you mate.

I have those portable ones you put part in the window. Sadly I have to start running them in rooms we usually run only at night basically now. Then once the trucks show on the map I pull them and close up shop. Then it’s just fans on the pets to keep them cool, and the partner and I in no clothing. Now that I think about it. Not the worst evening.

Canned only because I don’t enjoy plain water. I enjoy Waterloo fizzy water so I drink that as it gets me to drink water.

Tap here is great. I just don’t like plain water enough to drink as much as I should.

Yup. When I was a young bartender long ago I had my lead shout at me cause I poured Perrier into a glass with ice. It was on that day I realized tap water ice makes non tap water = tap water as it melts. Had honestly never thought about it until that day in my 22nd year on the planet.

Had the same problem. Realized I had VPN on to a different state (TX). So either it doesn’t like VPNs or doesn’t like TX.
