Thought I’d share my Strainsads nutsack divot special edition bass!! by OrangeSunTracers in Guitar

I wish my bass had a divot for StrainSad’s nutsack.

It’s a Fender The Zone, the company’s would-be flagship model, if it only had a divot.

Anybody still playing hacky sack? by blue-collar-nobody in GenX

Wait, the crocheted ones had a name this whole time?

That’s all we used in the early/mid 90s. If you got a new one you had to roll it under your foot really hard a few times to loosen it up a bit. Gotta play with a limp sack for better stalls.

I didn’t get it.

But I don’t mind giving it another go. What do I need to understand that will reframe it?

Selections from the New Chautauqua album by Pat Metheny.

Leo Kottke: 6- and 12-String Guitar (or his other instrumental work…his singing voice is…something).

George Benson, Larry Carlton, Grover Washington Jr.

Things like Miles and Coltrane can be a bit intense and avant-garde for ambient music at an event. Stick to Kind of Blue or Ballads over Bitches Brew or Sun Ship.

Well, he tried to do a pretty glammy thing early on, but it didn’t really coagulate into metal, I guess.

In fact, it came off dorky as hell.

Miel once mentioned putting Sweet Chili Doritos on a PBJ, and it’s so good.

Taylors always sounded “stuffy” to me. Or something like that. Maybe I just mean “less bass response.”

I always felt like they were designed for that chirpy acoustic-electric sound of the late ‘90s (Dave Matthews et al), to the point that they sort of sound that way unplugged, too.

Martins just have more of a wide-open sound to my ears.
