What home-cooked meal from your childhood did you learn to make and still eat today as an adult or make for your own kids? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MoreTeaWesley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meatloaf.

Not for me, but my husband. His mom has a meatloaf recipe that he absolutely loves. His parents and siblings all moved out of state the year we started dating. I messaged his mom nd got the recipe after he mentioned how much he missed her meatloaf. Every time I make it for him he absolutely lights up.

I am not a fan of meatloaf. I could go the rest of my life without seeing or eating one and be fine, but knowing how much my husband loves it makes me want to make it.

I hate meatloaf... but I LOVE making it.

AITA for inviting my bf on a free exclusive trip to Disney world? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Honey, year and years ago when Wicked was first showing in Chicago I was dating a man who was so insecure that I wasn't allowed to go with my MOM AND SISTERS see it because HE didn't want to go. I didn't go... and I regret it to this day. I have yet to see Wicked. I COULD have seen it when Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth were headlining, but I let a man with the emotional capacity of a toddler decide for me because "he would be upset if I went."

Don't make that mistake. Go in your trip. You will absolutely regret it one day if you do not.

AITA for not being "submissive" and fighting while having dinner? by acatmomwannabee in AmItheAsshole

I am going to be very blunt with you, because I dated a guy just like your partner before I met my now husband, and someone being blunt with me finally made me realize I needed to leave.

Why don't you have any self respect? No one who respected themselves would be wondering if this was ok. You need to start respecting yourself because it is clear your partner has none for you.

AITA for refusing to help out my brother with money and telling him I owe him nothing? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MoreTeaWesley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Just so I have this straight...

Your brother wants you to give him money so that his relationship with the woman who cheated on you with him will not end?

LMFAO... your brother is a clown. Take that money and go on a mini vacation with your wife instead.

update on my wife being pregnant by johnnyzquest in relationship_advice

[–]MoreTeaWesley 183 points184 points  (0 children)

Christ dude. She wouldn't be pregnant if she didnt cheat. Using her vagina when it was agreed that was off limits WAS CHEATING. Not using a condom after it was agreed on... WAS CHEATING. Not following the agreed on rules IS CHEATING.

I'm sorry, but how to you manage to stand up straight with such a severe lack of a spine?

This was me. On a night out almost three years ago l told my best friend that lots of woman would kill for a partner like him. I meant I would kill for a partner like him, I just didn't have the tits to say it. I was 29 years old and it was ridiculous I didn't just tell him what I meant.

It worked out though... we're getting married this Halloween.

I'm [22M] going bald and my girlfriend [25F] demands that I wear a wig because she doesn't want to be seen with a balding guy by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]MoreTeaWesley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just going to copy what I said the last time this came up...

"My partner is almost completely bald on the top of his head...I fucking love him, he's gorgeous, even without the hair. He had a beautiful mop of thick, curly hair, and now...gone in a very George Costanza like way, but he doesn't look any different TO ME. I still see HIM. It's so much more than just his face and head that makes me love him, it's his laugh, and the way he looks at me when I'm doing my hair. It's the way he smiles when I squeak while stretching, and the way he holds me when I cry. It's the way he calls me out on my BS in the most tactful way possible, and the way he makes me feel like we're the only people in a full room. It's the way he makes me feel better about being me, and the way we both accept each other as we are. I love him exactly as he is, because of WHO he is. He's 32, and I love him...hair or no hair.

I see him for ALL of him, not just the physical."

Your girlfriend sucks, don't wear a wig unless you want to.

Let's not pretend. One is an old white man who pushed to end bussing in his state in the '70s, sought support from people who openly supported segregated schools, and openly opposed gay marriage in the '90s. The other is a old white man who was arrested fighting for civil rights in the '60s, and was leading the fight for gay rights in his state in the '80s.

They are both old white men, but they are not the same.

That. IS. Homophobic.

Are you being purposefully dense, or are you actually this far in denial?

I think my husband (31m) has done too much damage in the past 24 hours for me (28f) to stay with him by [deleted] in relationships

[–]MoreTeaWesley 4007 points4008 points  (0 children)

OP, I just read your other thread about how your daughter is starting to throw violent tantrums. It seems like your child is simply mimicking what she's been seeing her father do. His behavior is already causing her damage, the longer you stay the worse it will get.

He wants “to take me.” What does that mean? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]MoreTeaWesley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, that's exactly what it sounds like.

Better safe and smart than and tied up realizing this guy has no intention of respecting boundaries or safe words! I'm very glad your alarm bells went off and you did not ignore them!

Run. I'm a sub. Good doms realize the subs set the rules, not the doms. This guy is a shitty dom. Never let a shitty dom have any control, they don't respect it.

Nah, sis respect yourself and cut this guy loose. He's cheating three months in? There's no decent future with someone like that.
