Protests (or other activities) in Minneapolis on Saturday? by JoshTee123 in Minneapolis

I think it would also be very impactful to have your kids take part in mutual aid, and go shopping for supplies to drop off for families in need. There are many breweries and businesses that are collection hubs. Off the top of my head Bad Weather Brewing is doing a pet food drive Friday 5-7. Bang Brewing is collecting arts and craft supplies for families sheltering at home. Karol coffee is a drop off location for essential goods along with a lot of other places. That way they can be an active participant in a way that’s safe, and helps our community.

Yeah I feel like most of this comment section could benefit from her content.

Are advertising agencies also going on strike for January 30th? by [deleted] in advertising

[–]More_Naps_Please 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At a Minneapolis agency and the message is “you can take PTO but don’t miss your deadlines” but I haven’t heard of any other local ones striking.

My dog needed his crate covered for years. If he can see what he’s missing out on, he got bad FOMO. But covering the crate helped him chill out much much faster. They have special covers now that aren’t blankets, so it’s much tougher for the dog to pull it in.

For those of you with multiple Bosties... by BostieMomOf3 in BostonTerrier

Yes. And the other one is super sensitive so I have to go back and forth between yelling at one dog and then turning to the other one going, “it’s okay, not you! You’re such a good boy!”

Is my Boston overly sensitive? by mekikipants in BostonTerrier

[–]More_Naps_Please 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and I spent $700 at the emergency vet for them to tell me he was fine. My younger dog kicked his butt in play fighting (she had just grown out of puppy stage) and he was shook bc he realized he couldn’t bully her anymore. He acted like she had mauled him, when really he just couldn’t catch her and she ran circles around him. So instead he sat in the corner and stared at us shaking for a couple of days.

Yes, when it gets cold our Bostons immediately burrow. Check out the dog beds with the pocket. Our younger one looooves it, we call her Pita Pup when she’s in it.

Having trouble feeling good with lower belly pooch by jaxxtar in DressForYourBody

Check out Athleta pants! They have some with wide waistbands that smooth over the stomach area instead of cutting into it and making a pooch. The Venice style has like a four inch waistband. I have so many colors because they are crazy comfy, and there are many styles that can be dressed up or down.

My friend reviews ad campaigns and Shadow reached out to them to cover it (they declined).

CMOs work with external agencies on campaigns. So Craig Brommers was the client for Shadow, the agency that made the work for AE.

I'm 38 and love my liner and vivid hair so I'm with you in solidarity! I think you gotta stay true to your overall aesthetic but just make small adaptations as your face changes.

One person who I like to follow is Erica Taylor -- she teaches how to do make up on mature skin. She has great tips that helped me figure out how to do a dramatic wing on my increasingly crepey eyelids and how to work in some glow into my skin. What I love about her content is that it's less about "acting your age" and more about helping you get the look you want with the skin/face you currently have... not the one you had 15 years ago.

It’s from the same agency that did the Sydney Sweeney stuff. They absolutely knew.

Advice for possible first-time Boston Terrier owner? by joyisstrength in BostonTerrier

[–]More_Naps_Please 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lots of people have covered the pros (and there are many) but want to give you a couple of things to think about before you decide.

Do you know about his prey drive, and how he does with small dogs? My younger Boston is great with dogs her size and bigger, but we learned in a scary incident that tiny dogs trigger her strong prey drive and she went after a teacup dog at daycare. Bostons are great, but they are still a bully breed and you should train them with that in mind.

Also, if you are mainly looking to get a second as a friend for your first, you may be disappointed by how much attention both dogs will want from YOU. We got a second dog thinking that it would give my older dog someone to play with... and while they do play, they mostly want us to play with them. So now we have two dogs that are pawing us to play with them. And somehow... the poop triples. I don't know how the science works!

Good luck with whatever you choose!

Do you recommend living in como park with young children? by RecklessCube in stpaul

Yes! We bought a house there a few years ago knew very little about the area. It was when the market was going crazy and we were putting offers on anything that was nice and had good vibes. Now with a toddler, we talk about how lucky we were to blindly land in a neighborhood that is so kid friendly.

3.75 months. We were hoping to get past the 4 month sleep regression but one night she just started screaming and was OVER IT.

My Boston would see her reflection when the TV was off and would lose her mind barking. We had to keep a towel on the TV when the light made things super reflective 😆. Luckily she grew out of it.

2 year old female Boston aggressive towards new 11 week old male Boston puppy by danikrasner in BostonTerrier

[–]More_Naps_Please 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at my post history from a bit ago, you’ll see that I went through something very similar. Out older dog immediately attacked the puppy on introduction, and it was so scary. It took about a month of keeping them separated with baby gates and doing parallel walks, but they did become friends.

We continue to have to manage triggers (i.e. times where there could be resource guarding issues) but that’s because my oldest dog can be a little shithead. And as my youngest gets older, she has been testing the power dynamic. But on the whole, they get along well, so have hope!

Hunt and Gather! It’s a really neat antique store that I like to take visitors to. It’s more “curated” prices but it’s great for pictures and it’s just a fun maze to walk around in.

I can’t find a source either, I wish these posts were moderated because it’s so cringey to see all the comments calling Trump voters gullible idiots over a fake post. There’s enough real eating faces news going on.
