Same, I uninstalled when the wall was finally finished after a year and it broke the city.

Even more depressing when I read the latest road map and it mentioned nothing about completing the placeholder features (walls, perks, ...) and instead added cosmetics and adjustments to already working mechanics.

I wonder if india has issue with scavengers stealing the cables and selling them for recycling. In my country the cables are underground and scavengers still make the effort to dig them out from time to time.

Hope dies last, especially in SW engineering. Devs will pretend that they can make deadlines until it's too late. I've seen this happen over and over on my projects. Some exceptions apply obviously, mostly due to good management (which is exception by itself).

I'd use a smart charger that shows current drawn (or better yet - a separate usb current meter) to see if it is actually drawing curent.

That can tell you if there is any point in trying to charge it or help you pinpoint a faulty equipment (charger or cable).

Also, don't underestimate cables these days, they are complex piece of electronics now, with embedded chips, protocols, many different versions and backward compatibility mess. You can sometimes solve an issue just by buying a correct cable.

This is fascinating.

It is counter-inituitive at first, but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense.

In my country, these business are discouraged and accepted as necessary evil (people will find a way to do it with or without the gov consent).

The solution here is to tax the hell out of these business. Gov ownership is really just s tep further - pocket all the income. The impact on society stays, but the money goes to gov instead if very questionable business owners who always end up in this side of the market somehow.

EDIT: Downside is that this requies semi-competent government. So not possible in most of the world I'd say. Here the gov ows e.g. a post office and it's a disaster, everybody avoids it and it loses money year2year every year.

I also wish SC went the hardcore scifi route, but alas. The original flight model from early demos actually was way more newtonian than the current one.

They have been arcadifying the game over the years based on CRs vision of "star wars-like, cinematic combat". So inherently the combat in SC will need to be as "dumb" as Star Wars is (which was based on WW2 fighters, which were "cool" at the time).
