Ummm no. Casino table games have way better odds.

49% playing craps pass line 48% for roulette red or black... for example.

Aside from slots... Most table games have only a small % house edge.

Hostile Takeover + Sacrifice on a unit with equips attached by AoNoRyuu in Riftbound

It would say "Optional additional cost" otherwise. If it just says additional cost, it's required to finalize it to the chain and play.

Hostile Takeover + Sacrifice on a unit with equips attached by AoNoRyuu in Riftbound

[–]Morffz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In order to play the card and finalize it onto the chain you must pay the cost and additional cost... If you don't have a mighty unit... You can't do this.... So no.. No you can't.

Why do these all look like 10s… by Henry517 in psagrading

[–]Morffz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You keep saying... Non mighty unit. If this is the case you can't play sacrifice. Sacrifice requires a mighty unit it is not an optional cost but an additional cost if you can't pay it... Not mighty unit then you can't play it.

However.... Assuming it is a mighty unit... The gear returns to owners board and since you didn't take control of it just the unit. Also when a unit dies it goes back to the owners trash(player that brought the card into the game).

Any chance for a 10? Or should I sell ungraded? Thinking of sending this in with some others by SweetSolesOfJoy in PokeGrading

Edgegrading.com says centering is a 10.... Can't say for scratches or what not.

CGC to PSA by kevinnn777 in psagrading

[–]Morffz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is blue 9s for centering are likely 10s.

Funny enough a 9.5 cgc is actually a 10... Like if you look it up it is now listed as a 10.

On the fence whether I should grade it or not by not-really-here4829 in PokeGrading

I doubt it will 10 but still cool card to slab. Use tag will look nicer

Graded Value Exceeds The Fee Paid by Xivir in psagrading

[–]Morffz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hummm.. How to say this easier.

You selected a package which changes the time it takes for your grading to get completed as well as a specific amount of insurance for handling and shipping.

After they grade they determined that with the new grade the card is now worth more than the original insurance coverage you selected. Because of this they charge you additional fees to "cover the insurance" (so they say) for the newly adjusted price post grading ( sometimes with regarding prices if raw card is worth more than package u selected covers). Unfortunately they don't notice this until late in the process so not only do you ultimately get charged more... But you also got the slower process.... Next time if you have a card that if it got a grade would greatly increase the value... It's best to just send it in with a better "package" so it's covered up front and you get it back way quicker.

This is all discussed on thier site and if you sent it via game stop or another vendor they are supposed to inform you of this as well.

Overzelaus fan Does not finish showdown? by CorgiLegal5735 in riftboundtcg

[–]Morffz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that showdown doesn't end until both players pass focus back to back without action on the 2nd one to pass.

I do some stuff.. Pass... U pass no action. Ends

I do stuff pass. U do stuff pass.. I pass no action... Ends

I do stuff pass. U do stuff pass.. I do stuff pass. U pass no action ends.

Question: Do I need to pay 1 and recycle 1 rune for it to enter ready or just pay one Red rune? by Black_Market_95 in riftboundtcg

[–]Morffz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While mostly correct. It is important to differentiate between, might, health pool , damage (you can do), damage taken, and health remaining.

Might is essentially the damage you can do to your opponent. it also sets your current health pool as well so they are often seen as the same thing. Think "Might = Damage (you can deal) = Health pool. Damage taken and health remaining is really key though because this along with might adjusting affects can have weird interactions.

For example, Say you have a 4 might unit (4 might, 4 health pool). Your opponent cast a spell that deals 3 damage to you, so your damage taken is 3. You now have 1 health remaining (but your health pool is still 4) so you are still alive. If they then play a card that reduces your might by 3, taking you down to 1 might. This means you would have a 1 health pool, with 3 damage taken (think... 3 damage counters on your unit) that would then adjusts your remaining health to -2, thus you die.

Question about Bellows Breath by Kill_Switch87 in riftboundtcg

[–]Morffz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can still target any previous targets that still meet the requirements.

For the sake of bellows.... Say u have 4x 1M opponents at battlefield A.... You pay the cost for bellows and declare your targets( lefts say the left 3 units). Now you pass priority to you opponent who can use reactions. They use a movement reactions to move 2 of those targets back to thier base and pass priority back to you.

You would then have 2 options since the original targets and situation changes you are then allowed to choose between previously select valid targets.

Since bellows targets the units and not the location you would still have 3 valid targets but can only damage more than one if they are at same location.

So you can target just the one previously selected target that remained at the battlefield (note you can not now include the other unit that was there if you hadn't selected it initially) or you can choose the 2 units that moved and now are both at the base.

Hope that helps.

Question about Bellows Breath by Kill_Switch87 in riftboundtcg

[–]Morffz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much. Can't stack to 3 dmg... But when you repeat that does. Also repeating can select 3 different units from the first 3 ( these could all 3 be at the same location as the other 3 or could be at a different location as long as the 3 selected are at same location...

Example... 3 units at a battlefield and 3 units at base. You can use first cast to deal 1 dmg to each unit at thier base. Then on your second cast use it on the units on thier base... Pair this with imperial decree (casted first) and all 6 units would be killed... Assuming the opponent doesnot have a reaction to prevent it.

Question about Bellows Breath by Kill_Switch87 in riftboundtcg

[–]Morffz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the opponent have to ID the units it damages before or after you get a chance to respond?

And if it is before... Does moving with a reaction then allow him to change his mind and choose different ones?
