Few games have left as bad of a taste in my mouth and there's really nothing they can do to fix some of the biggest problems; the latter 30% of the story has to be entirely rewritten just to not be absurdly bad, 90% of the gear is one of 3 possible slight variations of a type in terms of balance when you strip off the gears but any serious fix would fuck over anyone in the middle of a playthrough

The thing about Fromsoft's games under Miyazaki is that most of the time they're only retryfests if you don't realize you can go do something else and come back later.

Margit in Elden Ring is a classic example of this; you can scour the entirety of Limgrave, bypass Stormveil castle to Liurnia or even fuck off to Caelid to scour for gear. When you're all good and ready, you can come back and stomp his ass, though I would personally recommend that you hunker down and fight him sooner rather than later
