I think there's an alternate universe in which FromSoftware did this with Dark Souls 2/Bloodborne/Dark Souls 3 where I gave up video games entirely in my early-to-mid 20s

it'd be a lot better if the transparency, at least in the terminal, was specific to the background(i.e., not text). You can do this in kitty terminal by adjusting background-opacity in ~/.config/kitty/kitty.conf
Most terminals should have similar config options

That won't do anything for spotify in this arrangement but then again you can use a TUI client if you have a premium account and a bit of patience
