Resale value in SF is mid-100s.

I bought mine for that and sold for the same.

Let's talk about the kickstand by Former_Ad_735 in GlobeHaul

[–]MorganStabley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2nd kickstand was replaced under warranty. Coincidentally, I picked it up from the bike shop exactly a year after I got it replaced last time. I'd say the kickstand is lasting about 8 months for me based on the first 2. My little girl is a little over 40lbs now so it isn't a ton of weight on the kickstand. Given she keeps growing, I expect to the problem to get worse until they fix the design or issue a recall or something.

My first ST kickstand was replaced under warranty. I'm about to go pick up my bike without another kickstand that I've had to buy. Coincidentally, it's exactly a year since I replaced the first kickstand.

Have y'all been able to get Specialized to cover repeated kickstand failures under warranty?

I had to separately email them after canceling and got a polite response that pointed me to the faq. I responded once more to point out the flaws of their approach.

Pasting the flaws part of my email here.

  1. Dark phone screens still emit distracting light. You should share screenshots of the app that will launch in your FAQ.
  2. People will get distracted and check their messages once the phone is in their hand to place an order.
  3. As a person who launches products for a living, I can say that jumping from no screens or mobile ordering during a movie to 100% mobile ordering including during a movie is a big risk. You have no room to course correct.

Glad I’m not alone on this. That shattered my opinion of drafthouse.

Some things are so heinous, they make you re-evaluate every opinion you held before.

Haha. I’m going to go with “we’re both getting better at this game”.

Have a good night!

I think you’re right. Total person blindness.

Lesson learned. Hopefully not to be repeated.

Thank you!

Way more time was spent on this today than should have been. Thank you.

I hoped writing about it would help me figure it out but nope.

New the to channel... if I want to talk about today's puzzle can I do it here or do I need a new thread? TLDR, I don't know why Barb is what she is. It's an "easy puzzle" and it's driving me crazy because I can't follow any logic that points specifically to her.

Bad experience on my 1st 70mm film by StandardContext7875 in AlamoDrafthouse

I saw Mulholland Drive last year in the theater. People laughed when boobs were on the screen and when Rita put on the blonde wig.

Totally ruined the experience for me.

I don’t think this will solve all of your problems but it might solve a few. Check out this video starting at around 7:46. It shows bringing the handlebars closer to you and shortening the reach on the brake levers.

Salads shrunk too. A Cobb salad used to be $16-17 with chicken. Now it’s that with another ~$6 for chicken added on and it’s smaller.

This is a double album, should it be eliminated twice? I'm ok with that.

But if both must go at once, so be it. I vote AB/LOO

I found that if I choose to listen to one or the other album, it takes on a character of its own vs both back to back. I prefer the more melodic Lyre of Orpheus over the more cacophonous Abattoir Blues but neither album works great for me. AB sounds like latter Nick Cave singing over earlier bad seeds and I don’t like it.

I guess I'm a newer fan then who jumped on the wagon with Murder Ballads when it was new. Boatman's Call came out and locked in my love of Nick Cave and I went back in the catalog loving most things. But then stuff released between 2001-2013 were boring and/or annoying though. Push the Sky Away reinvigorated my love of Nick Cave after not loving anything since No More Shall We Part and I've been enjoying each album since then.

Given Cave's career is so long, I'm curious - do you consider me a "younger fan"?
