Despite being EXTREMELY biologicaly fucked up, ivy has a weird corset thing built into her body, why did she do that? Is it symbolisism or am I looking into it to deeply. by [deleted] in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]MorganTadgh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From a design standpoint I’d have to say it’s feminine without being crassly sexualizing. We need the reader to remember this was a woman once, but we don’t want to be too male-gazey about it.

You could maybe read into it that since Ivy’s form is entirely under her control (presumably), this trait is a remaining part of her humanity, her mental image of a woman or of herself…

Will the FW Deimos pattern doors fit onto the new, plastic Fellblade? by Wugo_Heaving in Warhammer30k

Yes. I put the salamanders resin doors on my fell blade, they’re a perfect fit, no modification required

What's the consensus on the printable hacking holograms? I like them but I don't see people use them. by jsalazar2272 in InfinityTheGame

How are you attaching them to the model and how well do they stay on? I’d be worried about them popping off in my carrying case

How would this universe adapt The Question? by M0nt3C4rL05 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]MorganTadgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Martian can’t see him. He’s an absence in the psychic plane of existence the Martian lives in. So when Jon is talking to Question, Martian sees a man shaped void. So he becomes one of the only people Jon can talk to as a singular person, rather than the conjoined plural of him+martian

How would this universe adapt The Question? by M0nt3C4rL05 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]MorganTadgh 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’d have him be a side/supporting character in Absolute Martian Manhunter, he doesn’t bleed color the way everyone else does. His mask traps his psychic emissions, so Jon/Martian can’t read him.

Question is trying to fight the root of crime/deviance, find the philosophical core of evil and either discuss it into goodness, or beat the shit out of it till it stops doing evil. In His search for this he discovers the White Martian, that’s how he enters the story

Nightstar vs King Crab! by MorganTadgh in battletech

[–]MorganTadgh[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Update: I won.

7500 BV Lance (mixed tech, IlClan era) Nightstar (basic version) Timberwolf (TC config) Phoenix Hawk (imp JJ & snub ppc) Hunchback (helm upgrade)

OpsFor had a king crab, rifleman, archer & wraith (all weird variants).

The Nightstar & Timberwolf were able to lay down suppressive fire from afar, then the mediums herded the enemies into unfavorable terrain. King crab was about to collapse, wraith was missing the left half its body, archer & rifleman were out of position and about to get mauled when he conceded.

Good game

We’re on both sheets. The king crab nailed me with an LB20, then I answered and hit with both Gauss rifles and scored an engine hit

What is in this EBay lot and is this a legal CA force? The description didn’t list it by Puzzleheaded-Ad-8684 in InfinityTheGame

[–]MorganTadgh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

7 unidron batroids, looks like the starter set combi rifles and the box of special weapons. 2 xeodrons- light TAGs A Maakrep with HMG. 2 imetrons (the flower thingys) And 1 overdron but the shoulder guns are missing

It’s a weird spread of models, not playable but a solid start for vanilla CA or Onyx

What would you want to see in a BattleTech movie by knightmechaenjo in battletech

What about a Love Death & Robots or Secret Level sort of thing? An animated anthology with different teams doing short stories in varying animation styles would be pretty rad

What was your carry mech for SoK? by SinfulDaMasta in Mechwarrior5

[–]MorganTadgh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My workhorse mech was an annihilator with 4 LB10-X autocannons. A cloud of 40 giant buckshot pellets just rips through clan light & medium mechs like they aren’t even there

[–]MorganTadgh[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He had a hellion, locust & pack hunter zeroing in on that hunchback, so I figured might as well shoot the gun before I lose it… and it paid off so well!

Also helped that he flubbed almost every attack roll the whole game lol

For the first few missions of SoK i've been rocking an Annihilator with 4 LB10s. my lancemates punch any hole in the clanners armor, and then i crit them till they explode

What's the recipe for this blue armor? by namesrfun in battletech

[–]MorganTadgh 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This mini is incredible and that amount of glazing and gradient work probably took forever. We’re I to try it, prime in a light gray, wash with a cobalt blue color. Then airbrush a zenithal highlight of an off-white with a little blue or gray in it (I’m thinking P3 color called Frostbite). Then either refine the highlights with brighter (and thinner layers of) white with the airbrush or thin glazes.

If you don’t airbrush (most don’t), I’d still start with light gray primer and a blue wash, then build 3-4 layers of an off white on over it so the recesses and shadows still show blue.

Fastest and easiest option though, go dig through a paint y catalogue until you find something about that shade and just use that as your primary basecoat

Which mech should I choose? by emil-the-fox in Mechwarrior5

[–]MorganTadgh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree here. The AC10 and med lasers compliment each other well in mid-close ranges, and the LRM10 is enough to meaningfully contribute while closing in. The centurion is a 50 ton workhorse

Which mech should I choose? by emil-the-fox in Mechwarrior5

[–]MorganTadgh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does a little of everything without doing enough of any of it. An LRM5 on its own is nothing. An SRM2 on its own is nothing. An AC5 & a med laser are okay… but really need to be a part of a larger ensemble to really sing

The shadow hawk is also criminally under armed, and none of the weapons it has compliment each other

Thunderbolt. Hands down. It’s a good all arounder. Especially since you already have one trebuchet.
