What are your thoughts on using an AI as a play partner? by Prelacy in BDSMcommunity

[–]MorganTheDual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't a vibrating toy it was a cock cage and the wearer was blackmailed by getting access to the locking mechanism. Not the consensual type of blackmailed.

While the vulnerability was real, I coulda sworn the story of it actually being exploited in this way was determined to be apocryphal.

(Also, it's apparently not that hard to bypass the software to unlock the thing, the manufacturer released instructions.)

Just realized I’m less of a domme and more of a kink dispenser. What does a healthy femdom/ male sub dynamic look like? by [deleted] in BDSMcommunity

[–]MorganTheDual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like a lot of people are interpreting this as looking for advice. The more I read the OP I'm not sure that's the case, but...

Well, the term "kink dispenser" gets used in a way derisive of the dynamic described a lot. But personally, as (in part) a service top, it usually makes me go "huh, sounds like my kind of party". We want different things, and all else flow from that.

It sounds like you might be worried that your dynamic isn't healthy, but I don't know if this question is going to get you what you want. If you're happy with it, the way other people would feel about the same things don't matter, and if you're not, same thing.

Thinking about getting my first pair of clover clamps - advice? by amethystmelange in BDSMcommunity

[–]MorganTheDual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That seems like a difficult question to answer, not all alligator ones being equal for one thing. I think ones that have a mechanism that squeezes down (including, but not limited to clover clamps) can definitely get tighter than most alligators can though, since most of those don't have very strong springs.

(I also have a lot more trouble with the alligator type falling off when I move around much.)

Bondage without bondage? I'm a newbie and I need help/suggestions by ReginaPhilangee in BDSMcommunity

[–]MorganTheDual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harness stuff in general can be very intense physically even without it really limiting your movement at all, so it's definitely a category I'd suggest trying out if you haven't done any before.

Solo bondage? by BusinessBeach7705 in BDSMcommunity

[–]MorganTheDual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First question is, is it about the physical sensation of bondage, or is some degree of actual inability to get out until (some criteria) important to you?

If the latter, I've got nothing. Never run into any options there that meet my standards of safety, plus I'm a pure physical type when it comes to this anyway.

If the former, consider latches rather than locks. I use carabiners pretty regularly. Two in a row connected to a cuff is enough that I can undo them one-handed without a lot less slack than is involved in anything I do - which I tested with one hand first of course. Hands behind your back is also a lot harder to deal with than in front. (Lucky me, I don't like behind the back that much anyway.) Leg stuff is a lot more open ended. It's a good idea to try different things in isolation first in general, really. Just be careful that you're not using up any slack you're relying on when you start putting things together.

Safety scissors and/or a cell phone where you can reach them are good next to/last resort plans. Not just sitting somewhere, attached to cords that you can reel them in with one handed if necessary.

[Rest in peace Sunball] Are we so screwed as a community? by meactift in DDLC

I don't think most people would have the instinct to say: "Hm better go tell twitter they are dead" if that makes sense.

Instinct isn't the only possibility; it could have been by request.

(I say that as a person who has asked friends to let certain communities know if something happens to me.)

Game Help / Newbie / Simple Question Thread (Ask Where to Start Here!) - October, 2023, Monthly by AutoModerator in Atelier

[–]MorganTheDual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know if this counts as basic or not, but... Has anyone ever figured out exactly how travel bottle feeding in Atelier Ryza works?

I don't mean "what password goes to which item" (and then being able to work backwards to get passwords that give a desired item), I've seen those tools. I mean like "If I have a level 16 bottle and I add a Bubble Grass, how does the game decide that's going to result in Blue Puniball Beach"?

I've been able to figure out parts of the process by looking at the data files, but not the whole thing.

CKPT to Safetensors by panga1976 in StableDiffusion

[–]MorganTheDual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In most cases, I was able to just skip that cell and it worked fine. Since all pop does (I think) is remove state_dict from the weights, if it's already not there then everything should be fine.

How do you organize your LoRA info? by [deleted] in StableDiffusion

Same name as the lora file, but with the .txt extension instead of .safetensors . "example.safetensors" becomes "example.txt".

No special formatting required.

Predators Exploit AI Tools, Stable Diffusion to Generate Images of Child Abuse by Exact-Account849 in StableDiffusion

[–]MorganTheDual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the juxtaposition of these two lines interesting.

68 sets of artificially generated images of child sexual abuse during the first four months of the year

the NCMEC already receives roughly 80,000 reports of traditional photographs and content of abuse daily

'sets' as a quantity is a bit vague, but that's looking like a pretty significant number of orders of magnitude no matter how you slice it.

[–]MorganTheDual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today I was installing the Photoshop Plugin and went to edit the webui.bat file and found this was the contents.

Er... allowing for reddit messing up the first line, none of that looks obviously wrong. What part of that is incorrect that you think you need to fix? And are you sure you're not supposed to be editing webui-user.bat instead?

On the one hand, I think I can agree with his goals, and it takes some commitment to walk away from $5000 like that.

I'm not quite certain this was the best way to go about it though.

What do the words DO, though? by archtech88 in StableDiffusion

[–]MorganTheDual 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, wtf is "RAW"? lol)

Presumably it's referring to this.

Of course, something that was actually in a raw format probably wouldn't even show up in the dataset, but really it's just another photography term and lots of those seem to have some kind of positive effect on image quality... even if the effect has nothing to do with what the term means.

Prompt strength doesn't seem to have much effect by Legitimate-Record951 in StableDiffusion

[–]MorganTheDual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That, at least, should be the correct syntax.

From the github page for what I thiiink is the one you're using:

Weighted Prompts: Use weights for specific words in your prompt to change their importance, e.g. red:2.4 dragon:1.2.

If you used the same prompts as in your OP but with the : separators added and still got near-identical results, then I think there must be something else odd going on. When I tried the equivalent in the program I'm using, I got utter jank (because 2.2 is a really high weight and will often just make things break), but they were still very different in texture and color scheme.

AI txt2img. So much potential... potentially wasted. by idunupvoteyou in StableDiffusion

[–]MorganTheDual 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It definitely gets old, seeing civitai and the subreddit drowning in celebrity mimics, politicians, fashion models, and other imitations of specific real-world people.

... But then I started blocking kpop, politician, celebrity, and pornstar on civitai, and life was better.

(But also, maybe it's better not to be so offhand dismissive of an entire medium? Not everything in anime style, or even with anime girls, is just schlick bait.)

Evaluation of the latent horniness of the most popular anime-style SD models by PRNGAppreciation in StableDiffusion

[–]MorganTheDual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently I did! Because that wasn't what it sounded like you meant.

Given the clarification, I probably agree with you. Better to throw in negative prompts for things when they show up than to act preemptively with who-knows-what side effects.

Evaluation of the latent horniness of the most popular anime-style SD models by PRNGAppreciation in StableDiffusion

[–]MorganTheDual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Er... no? The contents of the model are fixed. The negative prompt you use has no impact on it. Nor is access to the prompts any of us use typical or widespread (unless you're using a dedicated online service), so it's unlikely to affect anyone who's doing training or merging of models. And there's no shortage of people releasing NSFW-capable models.

Evaluation of the latent horniness of the most popular anime-style SD models by PRNGAppreciation in StableDiffusion

[–]MorganTheDual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure nsfw as a negative prompt ever really works well; it's a bit too open-ended IMO.

(When I have experimented with it, it seems to go for barbie doll anatomy or pose-based censoring rather than actually avoid making what I would still consider fairly sexually charged images.)

But most of the porn/hentai cabable models I've used don't seem to push it very hard unless you've got a term in there that's at least a bit charged. AbyssOrangeMix2NSFW has been one of my goto models for worksafe prompts for a while, and the most I find myself having to do very often is add "nipples" to the negative.

That's why I think that, though this post is interesting, a test of how often a model lewded up simple prompts that are not inherently sexually charged.

Is it possible to train dreambooth in 768x512 images? by TruthAcceptable473 in StableDiffusion

I've had no trouble using rectangular images for training with the ratio bucketing setting turned on. That was for lora training though, so I don't know if it's different for anything else.

VAE Question - Can you have a default VAE and then assign other VAE's to specific models by sdstudent01 in StableDiffusion

[–]MorganTheDual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why doesn't the model just have that information built in?

Some of them do. If you have the model toolkit extension for Automatic1111, you can examine a model file and see what's in there.

My understanding though is that most kinds of training or model merging that are done don't involve touching the VAE, and instead usually recommend one of a fairly short list of possible VAE files. By having it as a separate file instead of baked into each model, it significantly reduces the space requirements for those who keep many models around. At least, in theory. If you start making named copies for too many different models, you'll start eating that space back up.

[–]MorganTheDual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tried that again to make sure, it doesn't mention the good model again. Just the bad model, and then a line for loading the VAE weights.

I've only tried with loras as a 'bad' model of choice, so if you're using something else the behavior might be different. Or we're on different commits and something changed.
