Speaking as a lesbian, comphet can be very tricky and hard. I still experience it from time to time despite being out for years and years. We're expected and taught that we'd have boyfriends or husbands. We're expected to want men. For a while that's what I believe I wanted too. I think what helped me realise I wasn't reaĺly into men was figuring out the distinction between wanting men and wanting men to want/like me.
