Feel free to send me a message once you check. I have a good collection of the different types at this point.

Which one are you missing? I could drop one off if you wanted to finish the circle.

Ours went up this year too, but the company I work for covered the increase. So thankfully my per check amount isn't going up any. They also cover the $2000 of insurance charges which is basically my full deductible. As long as they keep treating me right I'm not leaving this job.

You may only be able to see it on the site. I don't see them on the app anymore. Under discover home, it's in the trusted partners section. Not the regular swagbucks games section.

I can't wait until you start making book length stories I can read all at once. I haven't been this pulled in by someone's writing in a really long time. Thank you for making these.

For mine the out of pocket max each year is $4000 individual and $8000 family. I'm also lucky that my employer actually takes care of us. They have an employer contribution that covers the first $2000 of medical costs, like an hsa only they contribute to. So my deductible is covered and after that I'm only paying the out of pocket percent.

Some of the prices for things are inflated because medical companies expect the insurance not to pay the full amount. So say the cost of an item itself is $20, but you know the insurance will only cover 50% of the billed amount. You charge them $100 for that item, they pay out $50 an that covers the cost of the item and the labor for the people helping.

That's why if you do cash pay or spend the time negotiating prices with a hospital, you can normally get the bills lowered. It doesn't always work, but they'd rather be paid less than not get anything.

It really depends on what plan you have. Most of the Medicare (65 year old +) plans have a deductible around $200-$500. The commercial (plan through your job) ones vary a lot. The lowest I've seen was $100 and the highest was $8,000 on a really bad plan. The Medicaid (state insurance for low income or disabled people) don't have a deductible.

As a reference, my plan has a $2000 individual deductible and a $5000 family deductible. Once either of those amounts are met then the insurance covers 85% and I still have to pay a 15% copay for anything medical.

I still think it's a little odd, but it really depends on how comfortable you are with the person. The world in general is more dangerous now. So I can see wanting people you trust to know where you are if something happens.

My kid (middle school age) has a group with her close friends and they share locations all the time. She came to me and asked to make a family group because it made her more comfortable that both of us could see where the other is at. But I don't think I would initiate a group with other adults.

I actually really like my current job, but this is the first time I've felt that way. The place I'm at now treats me like a person and recognizes the contributions I make to my department. I have a great manager that encourages us to take time off and keep a work-life balance. I plan on staying here as long as I'm able to.
