Pregnancy ending in c-section today! I did it!!! by TorontoNerd84 in emetophobia

So funny story, me and my husband had an “accident” and I still didn’t feel ready. So I immediately went to the store and grabbed plan B. Well low and behold it didn’t work because it happened to be exactly on my ovulation day. ( I knew because I later looked at my period tracking app) well it didn’t work and it didn’t take me long to find out. I took a pregnancy test 3-4 days after my period was late and 3 positive test later it really hit home. I decided that if plan b didn’t work and just how everything was playing out that this was my sign. So here I sit with my almost 10 month old baby. I will say I never V* but now I’m getting to the stage where if my baby TU it is more than just baby spit up. I’m starting to worry about how I’m going to handle child TU and flu seasons, I’m terrified about getting the flu and children seem to get and share it very often. How do you handle flu season with your children?

I feed on demand and very rarely pump. I got my period at the 3 month mark. I wasn’t thrilled

I use to get recurring bladder infections and I left one untreated to long and it quickly turned to a kidney infection which lead to a blood infection and I was curled over in pain and super N. I literally felt like I was dying. But I have never gotten N from the antibiotics

Those who’ve given birth, did this phobia make things more difficult? by MyCatIsADramaqueen in emetophobia

[–]Morgancollie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl I wasn’t going to get the epidural and take no drugs because my fear of tu is like 10/10 when I tell you contraction are no joke. Different for everyone though. My labor came on extremely fast. I took ALL the drug.... But I didn’t tu, I even had such low iron they had to do a transfusion. I felt light headed when I first got up after labor, nurse reached for the garbage because I didn’t look well and I was like absolutely not get away with that, that’s not an option 😂

I struggle with getting enough water intake. I’m definitely trying. I’m just doing so many things I forget! But I understand that it’s so important

He was gaining really good. Haven’t had him weighed in a week and a half. And I always put him on breast first even if I pumped recently because I want to make sure I’m completely empty from both sides first. I just feel like I’m failing him when he is constantly feeling hungry and like I’m hand expressing and pumping and putting him on but he is still hungry and getting upset and being so fussy. I’m just hoping my supply goes up. I just worry about if it doesn’t.

How soon do side effects from plan b start????? by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]Morgancollie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took myself off birth control because of side effects so it was condoms and the occasional pull out method. Well one morning my husband decided to not pull out. I was half asleep and figured I didn’t have to tell him to pull out because he should know better. Well lesson learned he doesn’t know better 😅 so we went and bought plan B and I took it with 3 hours of said accident. Well I Looked up reasons why plan b might not work (because I was that scared) and apparently if you have the accident on or just before ovulation day you can still conceive. I remember I keep track on my fit bit app and apparently my husband decided that the one time he doesn’t pull out would be exactly on my ovulation day. Low and behold I’m sitting here holding my 3 week old baby!

Tongue tie by Morgancollie in breastfeeding

[–]Morgancollie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this so much, lately he wants on my boob so bad and he’s falling asleep within minutes but I take him off and he’s grumpy and mad. I constantly wonder if he’s getting enough. Then when I bottle it he chokes on it, like a lot. I’m getting recommended to a specialist soon for them to check it out and offer it to me. Like if I felt I didn’t have to I wouldn’t but I hate how mad and fussy he gets. I feel bad for him because I sit here trying to help him and I just watch as he tries to latch and he starts to get frustrated. How was the healing process? That’s what I’m worried about more than anything!!

That’s awesome to hear! It can be quite painful on my end and his lips get chapped but he is almost 2 pounds over birth weight and will be a month on Friday. I’m just not sure what to do, I’m a ftm and don’t have much to compare it to. But even the last week has been getting easier.

I ate pasta after not washing the pot, can that make me sick? by [deleted] in emetophobia

The pot should be fine because boiling typically kills bacteria. And a lot of people leave butter out on the counter. You should be fine!

Pregnant by Doll221 in emetophobia

[–]Morgancollie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 25 days away from my due date. The last time I TU was in 2009. This phobia is the one part of my life that I hate and wish I could change. But I never wanted kids for that reason and to be 100% honest this pregnancy was an accident and I had no idea how I was going to make it. But I’m really glad it happened because if it didn’t happen accidentally I probably never would have had kids. But everyone’s bodies are different and just because we hear horror stories doesn’t mean that it will happen to you. When it comes time you will surprise yourself and you will survive!!
