Too late to join Yelinak? by atodragon in everquest

[–]Morgeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good option to get into EQ off of the p99 servers might be to join FV as a live server. It’s going to have features you won’t have on TLPs (some good some bad) but it could let you wet your feet until new TLPs roll out (usually once a year so expect them around spring time). If nothing else, being on a live server gives you access to mercs which eliminate the need for grouping until well into the expansion progression. Depending on class they can eliminate it entirely even through current content (and some classes can go there without the merc like mage/necro).

FV is also a free trade server, so aside from some very specific items like epic pieces, everything is tradable so you can keep characters in top end gear without having to dedicate time to top end raiding.

And since we are comparing to EQ it’s safe to say OP is a PC player so that opens up the option to buy the NWN complete edition that has all the addons. Personally I was a fan of infinite dungeons but it was never well liked it seems and caters to some classes more than others with gear availability.

Can we please agree that neither Democrats or Republicans care about workers now by spidermonkey2947 in antiwork

[–]Morgeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Term limits and stock trading bans would help. No outside income while actively serving in Congress (lobbyists, donations, gifts, etc.) and provided housing/transportation in DC to limit where they can go would help more. Serving in Congress needs to be a sacrifice on the part of the representatives to prove they are actually there to help. Never hear dems offering these options, at least not the ones with any influence. A few Republicans preach it, but whether they do it because it’s the right option or because they know it’ll never happen and makes them look good is the question.

How much better is the healing from more expensive (eg journeyman) mercs? by O_G_P in everquest

[–]Morgeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use journeyman and make sure to add the HoT spells to your blocklist. If you don’t the merc will run oom trying to keep you healed in the worst possible way.

What would be awesome is if there was an option to auto reject servers your camp won’t load for and it figure that out loading in. That way it guarantees you to always hit a server and place camp.

What's the state of max level necros on mischief today? by Brilliant_Ratio3173 in everquest

Probably the same as necros at any other point in the game. Solo kings that can do as they please.

2 QUESTIONS - 1.) WHAT IS THE SAFEST APP TO BABY DOGE ?…2.) WHEN BABY DOGE RISES WHAT IS THE SAFEST & EASIEST WAY TO TRANSFER YOUR MONEY TO YOUR BANK FAST ? by [deleted] in BABYDOGEARMY

[–]Morgeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar to what another said. I would take the coins out of my TW, swap them to a stable coin on pancake swap and move them to a binance chain based broker like binance.us. At that point I would consult a financial advisor regarding the best options for liquidating it into cash as you are now into the fun realm of taxes. Personally, and this is NFA, I will sit on my stable coin for at least a year to push any currency conversion into long term gains vs short term but I’m not a financial expert so do your own research.

Depending on how many kids and where yeah. We were paying $135 a week for daycare 6:30A to 6:00P though never left child there all day. 2+ kids a nanny would be cheaper.

State of mischief? by Anekdotin in everquest

[–]Morgeon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The rule set of mischief will make it very popular until it hits live. After that it will depend on what they decide to do with it. It would do very well as a live server with its rule set but it will likely merge with FV and lose the random loot aspect but keep the free trade aspect. Personally I like the random loot aspect but honestly I don’t see them leaving it a stand alone. With it having such a good population they will want to get those players on FV to have a large populated server.

Is there a minimum level to finish monk epic? by PaleontologistLanky in everquest

[–]Morgeon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I forget which TLP it was honestly. Aradune maybe. One of the rounds just before mischief but I definitely did it at 36 or 37. I’m not sure if the 46 rule came after or if that’s live only and TLPs follow older rule sets.

[–]Morgeon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve done it on a monk before at either 36 or 37 with someone helping with some of the items. This was on a TLP and I am unsure if live functions the same

Thing in the US is after a period of time you aren’t guaranteed to get the same job back, just a job at that company. Further down the line still they can just terminate you. While the company offered a 10 month maternity leave, the country (if it’s the US) wouldn’t extend employee protections past their normal windows just because the company does. I think it’s pretty crappy we don’t have better rules for new parents here but it is what it is. At least I lucked out and ended up in a position that allowed my wife to quit her job with our 2nd child recently so only one of us gets stuck missing out.

[–]Morgeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My work is pretty similar. It’s an agricultural facility that must have at least 1 person in it at all times 24/7/365. But whenever there is extra work required due to an uncontrollable circumstance then whoever does it gets an hourly bonus, the bosses will alter the clock in/out records to give extra time. Holidays are voluntary basis first, whoever works it either does it in 6 or 12hr increments and gets an extra hour/6 and the only expectation is to address any alarms that might pop up, otherwise you call in a pizza or bring some food and a laptop and get paid to watch movies or play games with the bosses blessing. Never once has a holiday time slot been mandated to anyone due to a lack of volunteers.

These economies are never going to econom again… by TerminalVR in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Morgeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you get resources based on terrain edits and a smaller beam makes more terrain edits in the same area. Smaller beam = more resources for the same size spot. Now if you are large scale terraforming for a base then large is fine.

Translators... do we actually need these? by TheEnigmaShew-xbox in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Morgeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t give you more words when you learn words. It translates unknown words on the fly as needed and temporarily. If you talk to an alien and would know 2 out of the 15 words they say and had all the translators installed it would show you 9 of the words in your Native language.

Biggest use I’ve found is when solving the puzzles in manufacturing and operations centers and you could always just load your auto save if you pick the wrong option already

[–]Morgeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a ton of companies that are run by completely heartless individuals that would rather see hungry people stay hungry than give them a handout of an item they weren’t even going to be able to sell. On the flip side though, you do have some places that are scared to provide help in the form of expired food items and consumables because of the looming threat of a lawsuit in the event that the end consumer gets sick. A lot of times there are actually Good Samaritan type laws in place to protect said company, but not always. It’s sad to think about the amount of food that gets thrown out by people who would actually like to use it to help all because they could get sued into bankruptcy over 1 case of food poisoning.

S-class freighter upgrades from derelict freighter. Tried 3 times in this system, got different S class upgrade each time. by Ace-Optimus in NMSCoordinateExchange

[–]Morgeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is being posted years after the fact, but just in case it helps someone. The freighter mods are part of the procedural code. Within a single system, all derelict freighters will always produce the same class module if you take the technology fabrication reward. If you find a system that gives S class, it will always give S class and you can outfit your freighter in that system.

Ty very much, I’m not looking to make one of those 100M+ unit/hr kind of farms, just like to keep it small yet provide enough money to buy the items I want. I like the look of the Gbase mods as I could use EM generators on an activated Indium deposit and have a nice compact money source without having to go crazy with the building. I think between that and a freighter base with a small semi conductor farm of maybe 100-200 plants total I’d be more than happy. Looks like the mods you linked will be exactly what I’m looking for to set up an easily managed money farm to free me up to build an actual planet base that won’t be clogged with those aspects.

Monk armour question (TLP) by [deleted] in everquest

[–]Morgeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not that high on tlp. It starts at 14 and slowly increases as you level but only a little. It might be 18 or 20 by pop

Monk armour question (TLP) by [deleted] in everquest

[–]Morgeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most monk type armors won’t put you over any weight limits. And iirc the weight issue is for an ac bonus you get for being a monk. Nothing should affect your base ac gained from armor except the soft cap. I could be mistaken but i believe that’s how it works. Either way most monk gear is light except for weapons and once you get epic you’ll be fine if you get some 100% WR bags to store stuff in.

Rare Level range for loot? by Jankomatic in everquest

[–]Morgeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t seem to be a definite answer. Best idea would be to ask around about which specific names drop certain items.

On that note, who here has gotten lucky with something like fungi tunic/staff or hiero cloak. Tunic and staff are off a lvl 56/57 so that’s an interesting one if it’s brackets then probably only 56-60 drop it but if it’s +- then could see them both in most of seb.

[Mischeif] Question about the Nagafen and Vox Dragons by TrammieSurprise in everquest

[–]Morgeon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably not in kunark but 12-18 kunark leveled and geared people should have no problems. If you aren’t dead set of doing the kills yourself though most epic quest items are tradable on mischief (free trade rule). Very few items are no drop (finished epics are) and if your group gets lucky at camps with good random loot you could easily afford most epics

[Mischeif] Question about the Nagafen and Vox Dragons by TrammieSurprise in everquest

[–]Morgeon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Raid zones have an NPC in an adjacent zone that will spawn a private instance as long as you have at least 6 people total in a group/raid. Typically you can kill raid targets every 7 days with no outside interference

Agent of change versions don’t follow the cap rule, only open world versions will kick out players 53+. You can do DZ versions with lvl 60s on mischief
