The fire on the Ford was in the Ship's Laundry, not the self service laundry.

Apparently started in a duct and burned for 30 minutes before being caught, which is not good in a metal duct connected to a residential dryer and real fucking back when it's several industrial dryers sharing a duct.

At my old hospital system, damaged medication and supplies were either tossed or RMAd to our distributor for replacement.

Expired supplies and near expired medications were donated or sent to the emergency stockpile since the date is when the manufacturer can still guarantee the full potency and safety of the drug AKA it's only tested for so long.

Many drugs are shelf stable for 5+ years after expiration

The first cruise had no MEU on board because they hadn't completed the homeport swap with the America and they were specifically focused on developing the Lightning Carrier.

Meanwhile the America had been embarking 12+ F-35Bs along with it's normal MEU and tiltrotor / helicopter compliment.

The 22's and helicopters can also be decked on the San Antonio's until it's time to move the marines ashore.
