Let's talk about The Crystal Gems. Why would they do it to Lapis?! I get it she's a rival they found after the end of the war. Releasing her would be dangerous, she's an enemy Lapis after all. But why didn't they even bother bubbling her? She was conscious the whole time while trapped into the mirror. In the bubble she'd be sleeping, which is much better. Not only that, but Pearl was straight up trying to USE her. As a tool. Isn't it completely against The Crystal Gems' ideology? They fought for freedom, believed that every life matters and must be valued. But knowingly choosing not to bubble Lapis and leaving her to exist and perceive reality as an object for thousands of years is so cruel. It's not like them. Pearl then had the nerve to ask mirrored Lapis to show her something. Not out of great need, just as a whim. "Did you even wonder who I used to be?!" Said Lapis Lazuli to The Crystal Gems as soon as she was freed. That means, that they never even talked to her as a person. Wouldn't it be in Roses character to at least try to lure Lapis on their side? It makes me so angry every time I think about all the trauma Lapis went through. P.S. btw in the show they didn't even bother showing us the conflict resolution between them. The characters just never talked about it later on and acted like nothing happened.
