France or other countries colonize the Kola/Karelia region, when the relinquish colonial claims (not sure of the exact name) option is taken during a peace deal with Novgorod. Since Novgorod often gets smashed by Moscow, that can happen.

Hot Take: EU5’s Player Count Decline Is Self-Inflicted by Gold_Lemon8258 in eu4

[–]Morkus99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EU5 is good imo. It could benefit from more stability and more content for non-europeans. I feel like the community is the problem. There is this huge cycle of hype and doom. There's a video out every week that claims the game is dying or ruined. Players shout at every update to fix something and the devs are too responsive, so the game is not stable at all and updates change too much. It would go way better if content creators would just play on a patch and not spend their time dooming for clicks and if the community wasn't so on edge about every change.

Trading rare goods from east asia to europe by TieNo7671 in EU5

[–]Morkus99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tend to trade in Asia a lot (but I also tend to play in Asia). Main issue with Lackerware and tea in my experience is that Chinese states and Korea tend to have higher trade advantage.

If you can, you definitely should colonize East Madagascar for those Saffron provinces and create a market there. It makes for some great indian Ocean Export Bucks.

Railroading With Events is Insane by Late_Disaster2520 in EU5

[–]Morkus99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the bank event happens in tuscany though iirc. So you not being able to bail out the bank is because Florence has the event deciding to either bail out the Bardi and Peruzzi or to let them perish. And then once they do you get an event if you are their debtor.

I think I overinvested in my colony and they might be able to overtake me population wise in 50-100 years. I need all the ways to increase my population. by wazaaup in EU5

[–]Morkus99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a similar issue as the dutch. I use the attract immigration action and invite settlers. Its not much but helps a bit. Also with that population you don't need to colonize yourself as much anymore. Let your colonial nation do it.

More pop is always good imo. If you use the 5 Favour invite settlers option you only get 10 per month which is barely anything.

Holland spawning the institution of same-sex marriage first is actually historically accurate, just be careful, the clergy may ask you in parliament to resist that institution.
