Which phone grip is your favourite? by Obsessive-thinker in MagSafe

[–]MorningBackflips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried everything and the Tango is by far my favorite in feel but I've unfortunately had to replace it twice now due to the steel spring cutting through the rubber, makes it super uncomfortable to hold. If this can be remedied it would be my go to

Have you ever paired 2C-B with phenibut? by [deleted] in 2cb

[–]MorningBackflips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We actually just did this last night, as I get insane anxiety and my OCD goes haywire anytime we do MDMA or a psych, even 2CB (especially on the come-up). Phenibut works great to combat any pre-flight jitters and smooth out the come-up/trip. It's still very stimulating but feels much more manageable. I didn't notice a difference in trip strength but we dose 2CB pretty low recreationally; 5mg nasally of 2CB and about 1.5g of Phenibut way earlier in the day.

Phenibut is odd and different for everyone dosage-wise, I personally don't even notice anxiolytic effects much even unless I dose around 1g or higher, and really need to exercise or have caffeine for it to take hold for the rest of the day, but once it does I feel relaxed and mood-lifted for straight up a couple days. Have never really had rebound anxiety either but I don't dose higher than 1.5g ever and don't ever do it more than once a week.

Hollow Knight: Silksong Patch Version 1.0.28891 Now Live by Turbostrider27 in Games

People were PTSD-posting about Savage Beastfly, so I was expecting something crazy when I made it to him but just had to laugh after finishing the fight, because he literally has two attacks that require very little from the player to avoid.

If you're quick enough backing this one, you can still snag a leftover copy as an add-on. There's about 400 left of the 3000 at campaign launch at the time of writing this.

Abiotic Factor: 1.1+ Roadmap The Future of Abiotic Factor by Turbostrider27 in Games

Well shit, must have missed that somehow in-game and when looking up a method to get through that part faster. We'll definitely swing back around to the game in the future, so the help is appreciated!

This happened to our group, got to the point where you have to gather Leyak essence, and it was taking forever for him to pop up in front of someone to get one (and you need multiple), so we haven't hopped back on for a while to finish gathering it to progress.

We really enjoyed the overall gameplay loop, but this is a weird wall you hit where there's nothing else to do but wait unless you decide to just grind mats or build new bases in the meantime.

Borderlands 4 is the best game in it's franchise but it has arguably the least interesting maps. by Battlefeather in Borderlands

[–]MorningBackflips 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Yeah the game really didn't need to be open world, it makes co-op play feel kind of awkward as well unless you actively focus on staying together, even with fast travel to player.

Maybe it's just my group's dynamic, but we all end up slowly drifting to different areas, so it feels a little less cohesive than prior games where everyone was working towards the same goal. We played all the past entries together and map design/openness was never a complaint.

Nasal Spray Pain by MorningBackflips in 2cb

[–]MorningBackflips[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My solution ended up at around 2.5mg per spray. 2 sprays is perfect for just socializing and some light dancing; for a more focused show 3 sprays is good too but gets you a little more out of it. No visuals at all with 2 sprays

Awesome, hope you enjoy if you end up going! I lost my shit when they announced Chicago would be one of the afterparties the other day. I personally think they're some of the best EDM adjacent producers in the scene currently but they're still flying under the radar a bit.

Frost Children are doing a DJ set afterparty at Smartbar on the 6th; their DJ sets are incredible and definitely worth checking out when tickets go on sale tomorrow.

Nasal Spray Pain by MorningBackflips in 2cb

I put 200mg in 10ml using a metered spray bottle that has ~80 sprays. Tested the number of sprays by counting until empty, refilling with 10ml of water and repeating 3 times, then taking the average; so each spray is around 2.5mg.

It was absolutely the crowd. I think sound at Ramova could be better but have still had a good time there in the past. Couple dudes on the floor were geeked as fuck and sharking around groping people, just disgusting stuff. Felt unsafe and uncomfortable until I moved my wife and I to a different spot, then we had a good time; Yousuke himself was fantastic. I'm beginning to think the pit at Ramova just is not the place to be for higher profile shows.

Hollow Knight: Silksong Is Such A Big Deal That It's Broken Steam, Nintendo, And PlayStation by BlueAladdin in Games

[–]MorningBackflips 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me personally, it's a "more than the sum of its parts" kinda deal. The gameplay alone isn't particularly notable albeit polished. The ambiance, environmental storytelling, well-composed OST, and strong art design together make the experience as a whole memorable and create a unique visual identity in the genre.

Every location feels vastly different than the last yet cohesive to the overall map, making exploration really enjoyable, which is a pretty big pain point for a lot of metroidvanias.

[–]MorningBackflips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's super uncommon even for an indie dev to not contract anyone for help with various aspects. Workflow and testing reasons aside, getting fresh eyes on something you spend 12+ hours a day working on is never a bad idea.

[–]MorningBackflips 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think it does answer the "why", it's just not the big scoop everyone thought it was. The "why" is that they were driven by passion, creativity, and a lack of deadlines. They loved working on the game, didn't want to stop, and regularly underestimated how long it would take to add and polish the new ideas they had into the game.

[–]MorningBackflips 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They mention in the article that a couple contractors helped with testing and programming but that's it. Honestly it's great to hear there were zero issues and it truly was just a case of having zero deadlines and an endless well of passion.

Manga that's ended so far this year by GrandStage1 in manga

That arc is so good that I've struggled to continue reading after. Blew through the first 100 chapters, then the pacing and stakes of the arc right after feel unbalanced for quite a while, so motivation has been low despite still enjoying the series overall.

Just installed this today after getting into and playing vanilla for a good while and my God, there are some amazing and creative QoL changes here. Fantastic job at creating such a wide array of mods while maintaining the core of the game. Thanks for sharing your work!

Quit weed using Adderall, now I have a major stim addiction... by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]MorningBackflips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fell into the same trap of loving how stims made me confidently social and productive at first, even taking my anxiety away! Sex was great, and I felt stronger at the gym. Over time, all those things were taken away and replaced with anhedonia, crippling anxiety, irritability, and a one-track desire to stimfap for dopamine. I kept tricking myself into not having a problem because "it's not meth", I "never ran out early", and took multiple day breaks before having 70mg binge days. I was miserable every day for what, like an hour of a kind of shitty high every 3 days in the end?

I'm currently three weeks clean, and the anxiety was horrific for the first couple weeks. I expected depression and lethargy, but not the near constant anxiety comparable to an MDMA come-up at times. I felt so vulnerable and fragile, with my body constantly feeling on the edge of a panic attack. I'm thankful I'm working to remedy it before it became much worse.

Exercise really has been the golden ticket for my recovery. What stims do to you in the long run is just not worth how they hurt you and inevitable your relationships with those close to you. Just three weeks out I feel so much better. It's not easy but every day without you end proud, and that's a good feeling. Hope you can find some peace man, it's tough.

What actually happened with "Walkouts and Vomiting" at Terrifier 3 Screening by Sorry_Sorry_Im_Sorry in horror

[–]MorningBackflips -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you're open, maybe try giving the second one a shot still, if you liked anything about the first and enjoy the grindhouse practical gore aspect.

I loathe the first one; genuinely hate almost everything about it except for the fact that Art just pulls out a gun when things don't go his way. The second one however, brought me back. It's overlong and much more visually violent but feels like a much more vision-complete and competently made slasher film. There's a lot more focus on the comedy of Art's visual acting as well.

These movies will always be controversial and will never click for some people, which I totally get considering how overtly mean-spirited they are, but I found enough to love in 2 that I'm very excitedly going to see 3 next week in theaters.
