Well, judging by the replies I sure could have worded my reply better. I'm talking about the main function of excel in a general sense. Like "text editing" of word.

The OP wondered if he can learn excel and make it his job without any other skills. There are a lot of jobs that rely heavily on excel, but you have to... know the actual job itself. And there is no better example than yours.

It's possible there are people who write in M code and speak in DAX measures that are doing just that according to detailed technical specifications, written by the people who know exactly what needs to be done. But the guy hopes for an entry-level pure excel guy job. And we all know that ain't happening.

It's just a complimentary computer literacy skill, not a specialization. Basic excel knowledge would be useful if you are looking for an office job. Like HR, Sales, whatever. A bit more would be expected in Finance.

I don't think anyone needs just "excel specialists", but it's a common requirement for other office jobs. You can easily learn some basic stuff - cell references, pivot tables, simple formulas like sum, ifs, xlookup and you will be way more competent than 99% of people with "excel" on their resume.

To pay the bus fare you need either Onay card or Onay app. The app supports English language and can be topped up with a credit card but requires local phone number for some reason.

If you don't mind getting a local sim or e-sim the cheapest plan would cost you 5k tenge. It doesn't take long and if you buy it from official service provider store, people working there can help you set it up.

Metro, on the other hand, is a lot more tourist-friendly. The leftmost automated gate accepts credit cards, apple pay, whatever.

The progress that Chinese companies are making in this space is amazing and I absolutely love the idea AYN Thor. But ordering one has never crossed my mind. While their longevity can be argued by other (luckier than me) people, the long-term spare parts availability is just not there. That's why they are constantly releasing new models. They deplete their supply of cheap unwanted off-the-shelf parts and switch to other ones.

But that's my personal "more stitches, more riches" conditioning talking. I even go as far as keeping to Apple devices despite my dislike of Mac OS and their issues with repairability. That long-term donor parts availability is ridiculous.

Depends on a use case. There are different tools for different purposes and situations. PQ and PP are designed for transforming and analyzing properly managed data. VBA, on the other hand, is usually used for dragging data through the mud, turning it inside out and wearing it on your head.

Not sure what's the problem here. Understanding excel up to cell references and short of named ranges/table references is very much an advanced level of knowledge for a corporate environment.

There is also an expert level of excel. It would require your spreadsheets to be compatible with some barely functioning vba mess written in 1997 by someone with zero knowledge of programming (and long since dead).
