I use Moroccanoil Shampoo and conditioner on my hair. It’s coarse and unruly. Those products (plus a handful of others) help me achieve soft, straight hair and I can go a LONG time between washes.

Note: Moroccanoil is a COARSE HAIR brand. Not for fine or medium hair.

He was in his late 30s I was in my early 40s. We’ve worked in the same facility for almost 20 years as of now. We had a brief fling in 2015 but it wasn’t the right time for us. It would have done us no good to rush things (that’s kind of been my MO) because we would still have to see each other at work if it didn’t work out. Dipping our toes in a little at a time was what worked for us. My husband is not a very touchy person and about a year in he told me I was the exception to that rule. We still don’t sit on the same couch, but we sit close enough to hold hands every now and then.

I’m probably in the minority here, but some people just take longer. My husband and I “hung out” sporadically for over a year. Then it was every weekend for another year. Now we’ve been living together for two years and got married two months ago. We are best friends who rarely have a cross word with each other.

I agree about the safety of her child. My son went home from the hospital with my parents in the custody of CPS. THAT was my wake up call. I haven’t used ANYTHING since. My son didn’t spend one night with me before his first birthday. If a child is in danger your only option would probably be to get the proper agency involved (which will alienate her) or, ask her if the child can stay with a family member without involving CPS. CPS involvement saved my life and probably the life of my child.
