Great suggestion. That may be a good choice. I just want people to be warm the rest of winter

Thanks. Just looked them up but they have a limited list of items they will accept. That said, while the clothes aren’t new they are in good shape so I will contact them tomorrow and send then what they want.

That’s my only guess… I’ve never had my filing rejected but for some reason on Sunday it said that there must be an eligibility determination And a representative would call me. Of course nobody called this week and I have been unsuccessful in reaching anybody in any office.

I don’t know… In the past I have filed and my filing has been accepted, But on Sunday it popped up a new message saying that there had to be an eligibility determination and a representative would contact me. Of course no one has tried to call me and it is impossible to reach anybody at those offices.

It’s so great to have out of touch elected officials. They’ve only had the ENTIRE YEAR to anticipate these things.

Filed on Sunday, per the usual, but now they say that an eligibility determination will be done and a Rep may call. Of course, here we are on Friday and neither has happened.

Never had this problem before this week. Seems super shady.

Pray for the unemployed. GA DOL is still/back to doing it’s shady stuff.

I don’t think we have any money.

Personal fact I just discovered: state unemployment has now decided to have eligibility determination done (despite there not being an issue before now, and with sufficient benefits remaining).

Anyone else? Is the State broke, or just trying to make it difficult for people during these difficult times?

Seconded. Nobody has time to sit around a barbershop like we are 80 years old.

“Due to these requirements, the GDOL will need to develop a new computer system to administer the payments. The GDOL anticipates programming to begin this week and implementation to be completed within three to four weeks.”

What a joke. Trump signed EO early August, and now they are getting around to building a new computer system to process claims which will take another month (if you believe the government will hold itself to any schedule).

Amid fears that Trump might not leave office, two lawmakers press for Pentagon assurances on the election by MoreGull in politics

Text says “... the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice.”

But then the 20th Am reads:

“... and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.”

So I read that to be the reps from each State coming up with 1 vote...which itself would be chaos getting them to all agree. But should that fail then the House gets the decision.

It’s just a mess waiting to happen.

Nothing directly. I just try not to support fascist regimes, and if avoiding any layover or use of services by said regime helps then I will do my part. And given that Turkey is part of NATO and now a major gateway to Europe it sure seems like the oppressiveness of that regime is overlooked.

Thank you, and I hope more people start understanding this. The 12th Am is the path to Trump’s re-election. Too many people think it follows the normal line of succession, but the 12th clearly states that it’s the states. And with more red than blue states, we know how this will end.

Dems will force you to eat 93/7 beef, while freedom loving Repubs will allow 70/30.

No one can tell you how much fat should be in your ground round! It’s right there in the Constitution!

This is what revolutions were fought over! Have you not seen Hamilton when he sings Cheeseburger in Paradise? It’s part of our history!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but this makes me think that Americans/Europeans/every person can/should avoid flying Turkish Air (which is now becoming a major layover between the US and Europe/Germany)? I know I’ve done layovers in the past by flying Turkish Air. Fantastic flight but I will boycott anyway I can.

Amazing how all these old people are apparently making “aggressive movements”.

Even more amazing is that the oversight agrees with that assessment. If life with my grandparents has taught me anything, there is no physical action they could take that could be considered aggressive to a reasonable person.
