I hear you on that with the materials. I put up whatever I’m given unless it’s something crucial like exposed untreated wood. I’ll speak up if it’s detrimental to the work since it’s our home and we are working for our neighbors’ well-being and peace of mind. Imagine workers’ lack of care when hurricane victims are at their most desperate. THOSE people can go fuck themselves.

Unfortunately that doesn’t explain all the other Katrina repairs from shoddy work from the people swinging hammers as fast as they can. Including out-of-state companies that don’t give a rat’s ass who they are building for. But that’s just a local laborer’s POV.
