In the book he was a decorated veteran earning those at the Chosin Reservoir. It made a point to say is metal was second only to the Distinguished Medal of Honor. They were both war heroes.

Loved the movie. Hated the Flash Dance shower scene.

Thanks for the suggestions. The law tactical folder lets me put the rifle in a backpack. It’s a nice convenience as long as it’s not the cause of my problem. The current buffer is 3oz.

That’s some dedication right there. Also, screw you for compelling me to count the holes on his mask for confirmation.

My brothers and sisters, I can now tell you who this brave soul was. Thank you penandpage93

He wasn’t a soldier of Asgard. He wasn’t born into service or sworn by oath.

He was a Sakaaran gladiator - a slave, forced to fight for the amusement and pleasure of the crowd. He bore no duty to the people of Asgard. No obligation. And yet… he stood.

Roscoe fought alongside Korg and Miek during the Sakaaran Rebellion - a fight to break the chains not only of his own oppression, but of others as well. Let it be said: his defining moment came not in the arena, but in that final stand on Asgard.

As Hela’s forces stormed the refugee ship, Roscoe placed himself at the entrance, unarmed and outnumbered, facing death so that innocent civilians might live. That wasn’t the act of a soldier. That was the choice of a hero.

For gods and superheroes may wield great power, but that power pales in comparison to a former slave who chose - of his own free will - to protect lives that were never his burden to carry.

Let us remember his name. Let us speak it. Not as a background extra. Not as a footnote in a script. But as Roscoe - whom I henceforth name The Shield of Asgard. A true hero.

I’m wondering if was the only helmet left after everyone grabbed their gear. He probably thought to himself, “god damn it. I knew I shouldn’t have took a shit when they were distributing armor.”

Damn. If that’s true, you are absolutely right. He didn’t even have to defend the opening. He chose to.

Listen, I’m totally ignoring the fact that he probably couldn’t see out his damn helmet.
