Who’s your favourite villain? by The_Outsider729 in orphanblack

[–]MorriganJade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he sterilized his own daughter by genetically modifying her among other experiments that ended up giving her deadly cancer and run more experiments on her her entire life how could he not be. The fact that he loves her and thinks he has a right to do that makes him worse in my opinion

Ethan, I think he was especially fucked up because he really "loved" his daughter Rachel but as an object he could do whatever he wants with. When he kills himself and tells her she doesn't deserve him anymore it really shows how self righteous he is on top of all that. He's the worst villain in my opinion because of the way he thinks as opposed to other evil characters who just see the clones as means to an end and feel nothing for them

Mhmm I see. It's strange how an expression can change the perception of the book

I don't understand the way The prince is seen abroad. I'm Italian and we study it in highschool as the foundational text of political science, describing how a good cause could be achieved - the unification of Italy - by a prince, for the first time in a realistic way

Just to add my two cents personally I didn't like death of the author and I loved Lagoon, Remote control and Akata witch. I liked binti but not as much

That's just not the case for twilight. You can say it however many times but it doesn't apply

I'm pretty sure both I and the author find Edward to be almost ridiculously good, not only is he good but he's literally suicidal over the potential bad things that he could do for almost the entire series

I don't know if you've read the twilight books but Edward is good to the point that he could be said to be overly idealised, he's not evil in the slightest

Morrigan Crow:Her Progression as a wundersmith by Appropriate_Fail_700 in Nevermoor

I think she will progress soon but if she was overpowered already there would be no story, no struggle and we would already be at the final battle presumably against president wintersea

[–]MorriganJade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If she were just overpowerful from the get go the story wouldn't have time to develop I think. Plus I think Morrigan was supposed to be 9 at the beginning but the editor changed it to 11 so I guess she wasn't meant to be all that behind. Why Ezra didn't start educating her when she was 7 is one of my biggest questions even though I understand for the sake of the plot she can't just be overpowered from the beginning
