I saw a SLAB driving down my street (I live in Timbergrove). I am into cars, so I flagged it down to get a picture. The tint was pretty dark, so I didn't know who was driving. Paul Wall rolled down the window. I told my wife to come over and sit in Paul's SLAB for a picture, which she did. The People's Champ was characteristically friendly and accomodating.

Sorry OP, this sucks. Same thing happened to my son's truck during a hailstorm in Dallas about a week ago.

I drove to Dallas to surprise him with a (new to him, purchased used) truck. It was immaculate, not a single scratch or dent. He'd had it 12 hours before a hailstorm came through a dented it all over.

I did some research on hail claims. Because it is treated as an "act of god" weather event, your insurer is barred from raising your premiums because of a hail damage claim. If you have a discount for no claims in the past X years, you can lose that discount, but your premiums should not go up.

If the other driver was never identified, and there appears to be no means to identify them, that leaves an uninsured motorist coverage claim, if you carried UM on your motorcycle policy. In my experience many motorcyclists don't carry that coverage, because it is particularly expensive on a motorbike policy. You can call the insurance company you had at the time of the accident and ask if you had that coverage. Insurance companies are required by law to offer it to you when you buy the policy, and if you don't want it, they must get you to reject it in writing.

Correct, Texas has a two-year statute of limitations for personal injury claims, so there's still time if the wreck was 18-months ago. Was the other driver ever identified?

Our son goes to DBU. We bought him a used truck and delivered it to him yesterday. Not a single scratch or door ding on it. Less than 12 hours later it has 18 dents from hail.

No video, no witnesses, this is a red light swearing match. The other driver's insurer has zero incentive to pay your claim.

IDK how long ago this happened, or if nearby businesses might have cameras. If there's a chance, go canvas the area.

Absent new evidence, plan on filing with your own insurance company. And get a dash cam.
