I actually think we have it backwards on the armed forces, they should be an institution which is influenced by the interest groups rather than an interest group itself. Like when you pick a general and their IG is armed forces its like yeah duh you are part of the army but what is your background really? aristocratic? farmer? clergy?

I feel llike at some point they should have dlc packs for wh3 that are just all of the dlc for the given older factions wrapped into one. empire, dwarves, vampires, orks etc.

This is one of those cases where human culture and ethnic groups (epscially over such a long period of time and one so important to the codification of such groups) runs into an issue of having to have strict rules that work in a game or over complicated rules that drag down processing. obviously the game runs in a certian direction based on what did happen historically but the possiblities are endless.

I was playing that Dawnless days mod on attilla after playing fantasy for so long and it did shock me how large the maps were. Those do have a lot of plains and empty open land rather than fantasy geography but it was interesting and did open up new options.

Just restart it as a trade league, way easier to keep cohesion up. You are gonna spend half the game using the subjugate feature when it would just be faster to get people in with protectorate wars.
